You should name your tip up, "The Fowler Fin-isher"! I loved this 7 day series. Trout are a beautiful and delicious resource. I enjoy catching them in the Appalachian mountains of Georgia.

I just watched season 3 of Alone. I had to come find your most recent video just so I could tell you how proud I am of you. As a Father and a husband. When your wife surprised you I cried, but when you hugged your daughter for the first time. That’s when I lost it. I’m sorry it took me this long to go back and watch it. I haven’t fished trout in the winter. A couple of lake trout in deeper water, but no trout. Perch and pike we’ve caught a ship load of, and thanks to the tip from an old timer when we started, we got them all at 5-15 feet of water. Pro tip from a guy who was the youngster on maybe 50 trout fishing trips (young guy cleaned all the fish), put the knife in under the gills, near that first fin, use your thumb to pinch down on the spine of the knife, and pull. Once you get the hang of it, you can pull the guts, those first fins, amd the gills all in one shot

Wow! When you were chopping the garlic, I could almost smell it. I guess that would probably have something to do with the fact that I made garlic shrimp tonight, with white rice and lots of butter and olive oil, with a sprinkle of crushed red peppers. MMMM good! I would have had some bacon with it, but it's Lent! LOL!!

You can air up a night crawler using a small syringe and it’ll float up off the bottom increasing your catch rate 👍try it my friend it works

I don't think you have Brookies cause they are are Darker and live in Brooks and Streams. Hard to tell but they might be Rainbow 🤔. We used to catch some hearty White Perch on Champlain 👍. Usually on stocked Trout the Adipose Fin (the little fin on the back between the Dorsal fin and the tail) is clipped off so you know which fish can be legally harvested.
