We've all lit a fire more or less in our lives. Every material we burn has its own burning technique. While it is very easy to light a wood fire in an open environment, you can try the technique I used in the video to light the fire in a dome such as a Stone Oven without suffocating it with smoke.
After a few unsuccessful burning experiences at first, my Stone Oven reaches the temperature I want within 45 minutes.
We can list the Stone Oven Combustion Stages as follows:
1- Strengthening the Fire ~ 15 minutes: We burn the woods arranged on the grill in the mouth of the furnace so that there is comfortable air intake and rapid evacuation of the dense smoke. At this stage, we enlarge the fire with fine hornbeams, but the type of wood that will give you the Thermal Energy is Oak...
2- Heating the Oven Floor ~20 min: We carry the fire, which has become stronger, to the middle without disturbing the wood arrangement, and we ensure that the furnace floor is also heated. Here you can also lean a few pieces of wood from the floor to the grill.
3- Oven Heating in Cooking Position ~10 min: We move the fire to the side for cooking in the oven whose base is heated. Medium oak wood feeds can be made here every 10 minutes. After transport, we clean the cooking surface first with a brush and then with a slightly damp cloth, making it ready for cooking.
