Really interesting, but that makes sense. I prefer roe if i know theres fish in an area but hardware definitely makes sense to find water with fish in it. Looking forward to more content next season!

limited out twice this November just twitching jigs. It's a technique that takes a fairly long time to learn well and most people lose a lot of jigs along the way, but when it works it works great.

Thanks for the comment and good luck out there. I limited out the day I made that video (last Thursday), but then got skunked the next two outings.

Thanks for all the education video!! Do you mind sharing how you carry all the gears (lures/jigs/net, etc) and bait(roe) while fishing? I have been carrying a backpack but not ideal while I am standing in the water.. the bait box on the belt sometime gets in my way.. I have been thinking how to carry the gear more efficiently. thank you!

One of my viewers made me some custom pouches for the belt, one to hold a ziplock of roe and another for gear. The rest is in my fishing vest. That way I'm 100% mobile and nothing gets put down on the bank to be forgotten.

crazy how it varies angler to angler. In my experience, i've found that november coho have only bit on roe

You'll catch fish on whatever you fish the most.. They bite my roe too, but gear allows me to cover a lot more water more quickly in search of fish.

When you say move spots do you mean move down the run or a whole new spot on the river?
@petrhermanadventures9509
@petrhermanadventures9509 11 месяцев назад
I treat it more like steelheading, cover the water in one spot and then move on. Sure worked out yesterday, walked around for 4 hours and covered about 3 kilometers of river. Walked away with 4 coho.

Runs such as peach and lickman are having pretty fast flows, should i be fishing that type of flow or a slower flow with gear?
@petrhermanadventures9509
@petrhermanadventures9509 11 месяцев назад
Slower is better. I focus on frog water, coho don't have a lot of body fat to burn, so they avoid fast water when they have the choice. Tail outs of faster runs are also often good.

the best way to fish spoons, spinners, jigs is from shore, dry land. You will get double the bites within 10 feet of shore. Have had many coho bite as I am lifting the jig out of the water.

Yes, as long as nobody's spooked them coho like sitting in 2 to 3 feet of water close to shore.

did you set up a camera on a tripod in the water to film yourself or?
@petrhermanadventures9509
@petrhermanadventures9509 11 месяцев назад
Yes, that's how I do it. The challenge is finding a spot where nobody is fishing so that I can do the monologue. In that way a regular fishing video is much easier because you can do voice over later.

Silver on sunny days and brass on cloudy days? I usually hear the opposite, may have to try it out.

Fishing is not an exact science. Maybe you're correct, but it's worked out for me, but I don't think color is all that important with spoons anyway. Speed and action are the important parts.
