How to fix a stiff Microtech Ultratech 

THANK YOU. I have a 20 year old Ultratech. Stiff as hell, ruined and kind of useless. You need 2 hands to deploy. This method has made deployment at least 80% easier. 👍. 1 thumb deployment.

I think Microtechs are just made that way. I just bought a Kershaw Livewire and it's a dream compared to my Microtech. I tried a Benchmade OTF too and while it felt way better too. Actually, my takeaway from using them all is that the Kershaw is better than both.

I gave up on mine. It sits in the box. Balisongs are fail proof. All that oil attracks dirt which isgoing to help any issues.

If we are going to use it to cut food, what can we use as an alternative?

Needing two hands to collapse it made me return it. Even with the oil it looks like you need two hands. Disappointing results for almost $300

Best way I found is to sell it and save up for a deadlock.
