HOW TO FIX A XBOX ONE THAT WONT TURN ON POWER BRICK FIX!!(Full fix) 

Dude ive been looking up videos everywhere. i unplugged everything from the xbox, unplugged power supply until the light went off, then replugged the power supply and kept spamming buttons until it turned on! Thank you it worked!!

Happened to my xbone. Have had my PS4 for at least 3 years, accidentally spilled rum on it, still to this day works fine 🤷

Whats happening here is that the power brick is old and worn. To keep an xbox on, it need 5 volts, but to start it up, it needs 12 volts. The power brick just cant reach those 12 volts anymore with everything connected, so by disconnecting everything, you let more energy go into the xbox itself instead of the attachments, letting it reach the 12 volts. It also explains how it can stay on normally once its turned on, since the required energy is much lower, letting you connect everything back. Eventually, the power brick will be so worn that it wont be able to reach the 12 volts even with everything disconnected, so you wont be able to rely on this method for long. If you want a permanent fix, you're gonna have to replace the power brick or open it up and replace its components. Luckily, its not the system itself, just the power brick.

this works for awhile but eventually it dies. as long as you hear the clicks and beeps your good but after a month or so you wont hear anything.

I have been doing that for a few months now whenever it would do that, now the other day it has been completely unresponsive, doesn't even make any feint sounds anymore, I let it sit for like 5 hrs periodically checking to see if it would make any sounds when I hit the buttons, and it did, I got it on and then the next day it was the same thing.

Guess I’m unlucky cause it doesn’t work for me, and yet, it sens to be exactly in the same state...... Button sounds, no white light, no turning on, power brick is good. what if when i turn on my xbox the light logo turns on and so does the chime but it immediately turns off after a second of turning it on. Also when it is on for a second the power brick turns green but back to red when it is off. I bought a power brick and when i hooked it up the power brick LED is red. Idk if it is the console or the power brick thats nots working. Can you help me?

This works amazingly well also with some tweaks. At first it didn't work but after a few more tries and some hope it worked. P.S try unpluggging and plugging back in hdmi and any out sourced usb like a hard drive phone charger Eventually the noise will get much much louder till eventually boom your xbox is on. Hope this helps some people.

The best way to "PREVENT" this from happening, is to use a surge protector as your native power strip. My power brick just recently fried after a power surge/blackout and I'm forced to buy a new one off Amazon, there's not much eles you can do. This can happen to the Xbox one s, xb1 x, and all Playstation units aswell.(with their internal power supplys) They need to have a surge protector included with all consoles, the life span of a power supply is actually quite long depending on how your setup is. I feel like alot of people are quite literally destroying their power supplys because of somthing that they didn't even know they had to worry about. Having a surge protector pretty much guarantees, that your console and power supply are safe. I just wish I knew this two weeks ago.
