I am so happy that this is still working for those who are having this trouble. I am truly sorry for the ones that couldn't make it work. Let me know if you guys want more content on repairing consoles.
Hey I hope you and yours are being safe during this pandemic and I want to thank you for this troubleshooting idea my son is losing his mind he is 11 years old is in utter panic thanks and when I get home from the road I'm going to give it a try
Hey man thanks. And yes I hope this method helps you when you attempt to try it. I hope your boy will be okay. Stay healthy my dude This will blow over soon enough.
Worked like a charm. This was the third time I had issues with the XB1 brick but this time I could not get it to work after hours of trying. You saved the day.
Worked like a charm. Followed your instructions just like you said. Got my old 360 power brick..popped out tbe black divider ..spaced out the two ports a bit. And it slid right in ...boom. Power on. Thanks. Good video
you are a clever, genius, etc. I TRIED this but was afraid to break my old 360 power adapter. but watching your video i was desperate enough to do as you instructed and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ThNKX Bruh!
I just tried it and it really worked. I used a wood chisel to cut out the hard plastic between the 2 prongs. I used the same chisel to widen the prongs enough to fit the connection. Thanks for the video.
Thanks bro took me an hour n half because I sucked at splitting the piece but I eventually got it! Great upload still helping people out in 2019! Thumbs up!👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Good shit brother !! I’m watching this shit 2 years later and I actually worked you don’t even kno how much stress you saved me from !! Warzone is my escape from reality LOL buh on some real shit G I appreciate it 💯 wish you nothing buh da best 💯🙏🏽🔥
This works perfectly! took me at most like 10 minutes. All I used was a flathead screwdriver to pop out the middle part. Then after the middle part is out, you want to twist the screwdriver to bend apart the two prongs just enough that they will fit into the back of the Xbox.
Bruuuhhhh this actually worked! I thought about using the 360 brick but when I saw it didn’t fit I gave up. Almost went to buy a new Xbox cuz I been watching videos for days trying to fix it. Thanks for dropping this one!
There is a black piece inbetween the xbox 360 power adapter plug in on the console side that is removed super easily and then you slightly nudge the metal pieces a slight amount a part to fit into the Xbox one. Takes a tiny bit of effort to push into the console itself after that fyi. It's in his second half of this video note, so don't stop watching. Amazing work around and really works. After not having my xbox one working for so long it is amazing. 360 adapters are cheaper and easier to find. I just thought they were completely different and didn't try again. Now to replace my 360 adapter or whatever, the Xbox one is working again so whatever, thank you so much brother!
Seriously Thank You So Much Man Thought I would have to buy another power brick. For the people having trouble doing this just take a screwdriver or something and pry the prongs apart and when the black part in the middle is snapped off of one side just jab the black piece until it comes off. Once again thanks a ton man 🙏
Bro your da best my xb1 power brick was stayng orange even out of the power outlet it stayed on search tons of videoz for a fix and your video worked 200% i ha a cbox 360 slim laying around did what u did and now im playing some apex thanks alot bro
Nice! Odds are there is a blown capacitor in your XB1 power brick. it is literally a $1 fix; you just have to desolder the old one, solder a new one on and BOOM, fixed for the remainder of it’s life. I believe it is a 1500uF (or microfarads) 16V capacitor. Though I’m proficient in micro-soldering I guarantee you that you can get it done with little to no experience and a cheap soldering iron. Just proceed with caution, do the research, and you will be fine. ...but an xbox 360 power brick suffices too I suppose. 😂
GANG, it worked! First try however many years later that the Xbox one has been on and I HAVE NO CLUE WHY THIS ISNT THE FIRST VIDEO TO POP UP! Cause nothing else worked and I’m not buying a new compactor! But it WORKED LOVE YOU MAN!
you sir are a genius and saved pandemic me during thehholiday and no xbox consoles in the stores given the release of the series X version. I got to admit at first I was like ya right this ain't gonna work the plugs aint even close but once ya clear the spacer out with a quick pop of a screwdriver and spread the contacts just a bit it slit right in I had an actual mouth drop moment.
You the the real MVP. My shit went out tonight while restarting after an update. My sons(mad at me right now) have a 360 and this shit works great. RESPECT bro
You beautiful man I love you! Worked!! I just used scissors and snipped the black divider and separated the prongs on the 360 power supply and bam it’s alive!
Bro shoutout to you, cause you saved my wallet😂 i was gonna buy another power brick for the xbox 1; and i was even considering blowing like $300 for an xbox one x😂 Dont ever remove this video lol
Anyone whose curious - YES THIS WORKS!! The hardest part is getting the pins to separate enough to fit into the Xbones back. I used a sturdy pocket knife and used the thickest part to push and pull them apart enough. The whole project took me 15/20 min. Saved me $50+ dollars.
@@jesuslopezzz2125 I had to use a bit of force. I used multiple (3?) butter knives to wedge into the gap and turned 1 or 2 to create a bigger gap. Not easy. Maybe needle nose pliers could be tried.... by placing the needle nose inbetween the prongs and forcing open the pliers. Only do enough so it fits...but it will still be a tight fit. As an update, it is still working.
Hell yeah dude. I got the connectors seperated and it didnt work at first, but I flipped it and it worked like a charm. A half hour after i just ordered a new power brick, but it is what it is.
Looking back on this video from 4 months ago it looks like it’s doing good, you guys let me know if you need help fixing anything else. I’m on Facebook
My xbox one power brick is just flashing orange and every time I click the xbox button to turn it on nothing happens I've been sitting here for 5 hours trying to fix it please help
My problem is: When I plug the in the socket the light turns orange. Then I plug it in the xbox and it turns white for about a minute then it turns back to orange. I can turn on the xbox ether way. Now I start the xbox and everything works normally (i can download games, look in the store or just stay in the home page) but whenever I load a game and get in a lobby the xbox shuts down instantly. I habd this problem for about a year every 2-3 months but and I watched videos of people who said unplug this then wait then plug this in then plug this und and it worked back then bit now nothing of this works. :( Your vid can‘t help me too because my xbox 360 has an older cable that isnt the same as the xbox one one. Plsss if you or somebody can help plss let me know.
Notice: idk if this is only for me but the powerbrick turns red when i play games that are 10gb and up (taking up more watts ig) i play fine with xbox 360 games on the one and brawhalla but once i go on xbox one games it just shuts off
