How to fix Apple CarPlay/android Auto in Honda Civic / CarPlay not working /unable to start CarPlay. 

Man, thank you so much for this. I’ve had my 2021 Civic for about a year now and while CarPlay has crapped out before it always started back up an hour later or whenever I bought a new cable. This time it was out for a week and I couldn’t figure out what the problem was. I cleaned the USB port in the car, cleaned the lightning port on my iPhone, put brand-new cables in, and nothing. Nothing would work. I had tried the “forget this car” option as well, but then my phone couldn’t find my car again! It was as if it didn’t exist and I was all sorts of confused. Then I came across your video and followed your instructions. Plugged my iPhone back in and boom, CarPlay worked instantly. I was able to ‘find’ my car again, enabled CarPlay, and now it’s back to working like a champ. Thanks a ton, my dude!

Thank you so much, I had tried to connect it to my 2020 Honda Civic Sport when I got it recently and it didn't work. I kept getting the "When Safe, plug in your device....etc" and even with it connected it didn't work. This saved me a trip to the dealership as well! If anyone is wondering I have a Samsung Note 20 (Android Auto) and kept getting the same message. After these steps and a factory reset I reconnected the same cord and it worked just fine! Thanks again you are a hero!
