The appropriate wire is not expensive, you just need to search using the right name... The wire between the terminal and voice coil is called "tinsel lead wire". Just search for "pure copper speaker tinsel lead wire". In Portuguese it is called "cordoalha".
You would think after spending all of that money that a top of the line company life JBL would realize to put in better cables for the price we pay and what we expect from such a company.
I agree. I'm pissed. Time for BOSE I guess. Wasted ny money. I have 2 of these flip 4's. Other one constantly shutting off and my phone is only a foot or 2 away.
you know that this is nothing to do with JBL product this is just a simple failure of solder in the tensile cable which can happen over time from extreme use. it's not jbl fault and its subject too simply wear down and I'm pretty sure if you showed this fault to JBL they'll give you a free replacement speaker
I would have loved that the camera was well placed , from the angle I didn't see what you were doing closely ... Above all nice sharing your experience.
Lol we bought one of those a while back and it was crackling from the very beginning. We didn't have the receipt for it tho so we stuffed it way back in the closet and forgot about it. Today I found it while cleaning and though, well why not try and look inside...... There was a loose screw inside the speaker, no wonder it was making that sound! Thanks for the helpful video!!!
@@noahh1997 yeah, it's wasn't super loud, but it was constantly there. It only went away when the volume was super low. I can't say for sure if you got the same problem but you can try opening yours and just look if there is something in the speaker, it's magnetic so that's why loose stuff gets in there, it's easy to spot! But if it's an option for you, take it back to the store where you got it from, the warranty is void if you open it yourself.
@@TheMarzi2125 oh nevermind then it’s just me 😂 I’ve had problems with my jbl link music so EVERYTIME I hear a little weird sound I think it’s something wrong
This video is very helpful. I have a JBL Flip 5 and just started having these sound problems. I just don't understand how this happens as I have only had it for about a year and 1/2 and I don't even use it that much. I got it thru T-Mobile and of course no one wants to replace etc. I will try to get someone to help me with the tools as I don't have them. Thanks again!
I just changed the battery and all the crackling sound disappeared . Had a very weak battery . I put a battery cell from outside the unit with long extension wires . Works well
No lie man same cause it sounded like my speaker got a drill in it or something cause the speaker is out and it's like looking on the back the speaker will start dying after that
@@niabrown6817 yea I put a warranty on mines to if I'm not mistaken the only different I got it through my cell phone service that I have and stuff like that so I have to find one and hopefully I can get it fixed or replaced
@@jayrondean3638 i solved the problem tho i opened it and saw some cables were disattached for some reason, maybe it happened because i dropped it. I plugged them back in and now everything works great
Just found out that my Charge 3 has the same problem. Where did you find that small cable? I know you mentioned headphones, but can you give more details? Also, if I could find the cable as new it would be nice.
Unfortunately there’s not more details to it. I used the cable found in headphones, you’ll have to sacrifice your old earphones or something, I tried getting a new one too, but shipping cost too much, so this was the best alternative, arguably better than a new one too.
thank you for this video, i think i have the same issue on a car speaker because when i touch with a finger the coil where are the cables soldered it sounds perfect so i think when i do that i just make the soldered cable to have a better contact with the coil. now only have to find a way to take out the speaker so i can have a better view
Thanks friend, I thought it was the main board, maybe the blue series of flip 4 has that factory problem, low quality materials, the sound suffers from cuts and no longer plays, I will check the cables, in another flip 4 it sometimes turns on and it sounds a touch, it is because the positive of one of the 2 speakers is attached to the driver chassis.
@@HadiFilms983 but fair warning the battery Is usually swelled up when bad so I recommend taking out the charging port with the 4 screws and then pushing the battery from the other side. Because the battery was super hard to get out.
Hey man I have a flip4 for a year and a half and when I play some hard bass songs the voice tears a lot , also my battery is dying a lot faster nowadays after that ,was hoping if you would know something about that :)
Hello!! I was wondering what type of headphones cable you used! It reminds me a bit of the iPhone headphone cables, is that what you used? It would help a lot. Thank you for a great well detailed video!
My Flip 4 stops making sound but remains on when a loud bass part comes up in the music. Someone please help. I've tried resetting it but nothing works! Edit: I just asked for a replacement with the manufacturer (JBL) warranty, and they sent me a new one that actually works
Someone gave me mines as a gift. Learned quickly not to max volume or it sounds like speaker clicks when the base kicks in. If I turn it down a bit it stops. No receipt so.... I'm Pissed off...but at least I didn't get pissed on🤣🤣🤣
In my case, I simply turned off my #Bluetooth mouse and the crackling noise stopped (I was getting signal interference while using the speaker with my laptop). The lesson being that nearby Bluetooth devices can be an issue. Hopefully this will save some people from wasted time and despair if you're like me and you got to this video by googling the crackling noise problem.
@@leanboi1392 Do you have other bluetooth devices connected simultaneously? I did... If so, disconnect any other bluetooth devices and see what happens with your speaker
Hello, My jbl go 2 is stuck on radio mode, like its looking for radio stations making static noise I tried hard resetting it but no luck, does anyone have a fix please
When I increase the volume by using the volume button on my JBL extream 2, it makes a popping sound, and cannot increase the volume , up to a high level. But when I increase the volume by using , my smart phone , no issues and working fine. Do you guys have any idea why this is happening?
My speaker is made up the same way. I think I will take it to a technician cause the entire speaker got wet and it's coming on by itself and off by itself. The brand is Hopestar. Don't know what you do agin
Soldered it at the contact side and it worked till i test it with frenchcore music. It was too hard for the soldering it cracks agaiun but not as much. so the best way would be a replacement speaker i think
Mine cuts in and out then stops for 1 minute then goes back to cutting in and out ever couple sec. I use mine for work tho so it’s been charged on not steady electric and dropped a lot
I have behringer mp40 portable speaker the sound is going in and out and when I adjust the Bluetooth volume knob it crackels an pops. It's not the battery because I just changed it along with the fuse.
i had the problem and i bought it with speaker from aliexpress and it worked great and i have the problem with my charge 3 in the GG version. Jbl haves gluet the speaker kabel with hot glue and when it worm up it will break and crackling
Hey guys! I need help. My jbl flip 4 started having crackling noises coming out of it. I tried soldering it but it didn’t work, what should I do? Should I buy a new one or new cables and speakers inside the speaker if that makes sense?
You have 1 year warranty for that jbl speaker you bought don’t spend money man to buy new one it’s a waste unless if you are rich do it or else go to a shop to fix it or buy the soldering tool and do it yourself it’s pretty easy
Wouldn’t it have been easier to replace the speakers ? Real question not being a smart ahh… mine is doing the same and replacement speakers are like 30$.
I have the charge 3 speaker and the left speaker is having the crackling issue. I don't have a soldering kit and nor do I know how to even use one so I'm just going to go out and buy another. It's my only option
My jbl would stop when connected and then get connected again and it's annoying I would just stop it and when it's not in used it has this knocking sound 😭😭 I don't know what to do. someone help meee
If it was dropped, there is slight possibilities the Bluetooth antenna may have disconnected, or gone out of place. To test the theory, play music and move away from the speaker with phone. See how far you get before it disconnects or cuts off
I got a rattling sound on the back of the charging place on my boombox when some bass is playing from it. Is it normal? Does anyone have the same issue.. Well i work at a electrical product store so i am going to talk with my colleagues if they know and if i can change. But if you know, it would be easier👍🏼 (but i don’t wanna open the speaker) i bought it today.
i assume it doesn't allow you to power it up without sufficient charge in the battery.. I would re-rout the charging circuit to a voltage setup up then into the main PCB from the step-up.. the voltage step-up will act as a battery, just give the PCB sufficient voltage and I think you should be fine.. it'll require some soldering skills and a bit of electronics know-how.
ive had my flip4 around 4 years now and its been going strong until recently ive had to keep it plugged in and now it dies even when plugged in and makes a honking sort of noise when its about to die, im replacing the battery and seeing if that fixes it
Time at 11:45 pm im listening avatar soundtrack while listening im using mobile very close and i put jbl charging and it's start making beeeeeeeep noise vary louder my roommates was scared very badly even me to i try to swith off but it's not work i disconnected Bluetooth ofter 55min its start working simply any one help me why its happened maybe Bluetooth range close or listening while charging im just wondering how calm ofter few minutes :)
JBL is simply being an APPLE. They want us to keep buying newer model every few years. Iam pissed af at JBL Sadly, i have realised this issue doesn't exist in Sony Bluetooth speaker. Just go for Sony, though bass is slightly lower
The wire found in earphones, it’s nice and flexible. I only found out now the wire I was looking for is called pigtail. But still 🤷♂️ if you got earphones you no longer need, rather use that, it seems to be more flexible and durable
The bass on the back makes a crackling sound and the sound is kinda bad quality i disassembled it and assambled it again and it came out better than before but its still bad, i dropped it on concrete on the back of the speaker
Sweaxie - my guess is the passive radiator might be loose, or the speaker drivers, it could be that or the driver got damaged on the drop, or something else came loose 🙈
Not J there’s rubber seals between the speaker driver and the the speaker chassis, as long as you keep those rubber seals undamaged and as long as you screw in the driver tightly, you should be fine
