Today in the driveway we have this beautiful Craftsman that is in need of repair! It will NOT START nor run even after the person who dropped it off changed the oil and spark plug!
Let Me Show YOU HOW TO properly diagnose the machine and repair it!

10mm Socket to Remove Carb
13mm Socket to Remove Jet
Phillips #2 Screw Driver
Pliers
Vise Grip/Fuel Line Clamp

Good video for the exact power washer I was trying to get running. My problem wound up being the float bowl spring was all gummed up, but the walk through here helped me eliminate a lot of other possible problems AND reminded me I had an air compressor to blow the jet and carb out... good stuff. This thing had been sitting for years and is now a one pull startup with $0 invested. Have a great weekend!

zrxgrim I LOVE FREE EQUIPMENT! Unfortunately it’s a rare thing on this island! Sometimes you can get away with a quick and dirty cleaning. Sometimes you gotta take it all apart! It's a pain working down low like that , I've got where I just pick it up and place it on a higher working surface . Easier on the old back also . Good video

I usually put machines on the tailgate of Mandingo. Ever since My Wife and I saved our driveway He is on the street due to diesel leak. I ordered a New Air Dog System for it :) Just need to find the time! Thanks for the view and comment. Hopefully you liked the video and subscribed to my channel!

@@pattayperformance I have to restart mine every time i let off the trigger. It just squirts out the tip with no pressure unless i fully restart the machine. any ideas on what this could be?

@@David-rj1ru in most cases it’s the unloader valve. Pull it, clean it, lube it and reinstall it. If that doesn’t work...replace it. Keep in mind for a few bucks you could get a whole new pump. Thanks for the view and comment, hopefully you subscribed to my channel 🤙🏻🇺🇸🦅🔧

I installed a new carb on my pressure washer. The idol bounces up and down similar to what yours was doing before you stuck that metal pin tool into the side of the carb. I’m going crazy trying to figure it out.

Hi thanks for the video. Question, can I use 4- cycle engineered fuel ( ethanol free) in this same pressure washer?? If not what fuel do I use . I’m new at all this . Thanks in advance

I have the same one ..I have took off the carb two times already and it's ribbing up and down like yours was at idle what's causing this? Inside of carburator is like new I'm confused now I don't understand why it's surging up an down

What about when you apply the water and it’s coming out? Clean spark plug and inspect it..regap it if needed. Make sure the fuel cap is venting! If you think it’s the carb spend $15 and get a new one! Thanks for the view and comment, hopefully you subscribed to my channel 🇺🇸🤙🏻🦅🔧

@@pattayperformance yes, the pressure washer started right up, I used it right away on slippery cement,,,,, thanks👍. And by the way I found it strainge that there was no jet where the jet is normally found😄.

I own the same pressure washer but the problem I have is that no pressure is actually being produced I checked if anything was being plugged but I can see right through the wholes for the nozzle and the end where u screw it on

I have this same model and it’s spraying water out of the bottom by some of the bolts. I tried tightening the bolts but it made no difference, please help!

Hi ...around 12:48 in the Video the throttle was bouncing up and down. you picked up a thin piece of metal and stuck it in the side of the carburetor.... what exactly did you do??? Clean something. ??

Good video/ have same pressure washer and line other your magical wire trick has got me stumped. Mine will not stop surging. Remove carb/ cleaned all jets /checked gas-spark plug-gas cap. What did the wire fix in your video. Or what else did you adjust to stop the surging

Have problem with my new craftsman pressure washer. ( I did call for warranty craftsman told go to shop works on them that accept craftsman warranty would you know not anyone accept it they wanted money from me. Washer was only 2 months old). Well problem is it work for 1 months than stop working I can pull cord it turns fine no problem but just wont start. I check spark plug working fine. Will see if mine is same as one video about problem. should is still brand spanking new

They want money up front for diag, if warranty covers the repair you will get it all back. If it’s fuel related they will try e everything to not pay since you put the fuel in their. Keep me updated

Anyways I try fix my self I am pretty handy. Fuel I used expensive kind when i filled it first.

Ugh! My pressure washer (exact same model) starts, runs for awhile till it’s out of gas, then won’t start. I have to wait like an hour and then try again and it starts randomly. I cleaned the carburetor and replaced the spark plug. What’s next? 😩

poor video. shows you how to fix carburaetor but explains nothing. never uses the carb cleaner. doesn t tell you why you should start it with the water connected.

Sorry you feel that way.... Please define explaining nothing...I can answer all your questions that I missed in the video. Never used carb cleaner bc It’s not required since I’m reaming out the jets and using compressed air to clean out debris. You should start with water connected so you don’t burn out the pump. Just seen this...pump needs to be resealed. I have never done it. For sure locate the leak. Split the pump and apply some sealant. If it still leaks IMO not worth taking it apart and rebuilding/replacing internal seals. Just replace the pump. 5 Min Job if all goes well! amzn.to/3XAxl60
