Dude YOU ARE THE COMPUTER BOMB! Did a Google Search when this happened to mine but not before almost throwing it in the dumpster. Followed your easy to understand instructions and I was back in business! Didn't even have to replace any memory banks. Apparently one of them just needed reseating. THANKS SO MUCH!
This fixed my computer . ThankYou !! I just unplugged them and re inserted them and that fixed me. I didnt even know what Memory Modules even looked like. Very Helpful.
I had this same problem on a Dell Optiplex 745 It started out as just amber lights. Then error 3 & 4 lights. After a lot of checking to see if connections were secure. The solution ended up being simply taking out memory and reinstalling it making sure they were seated properly. So this worked for me thanks
WOW. Thank you so much. This really works. My cat knocked my tower over and my tower started making a beeping sound. After watching your video and following your steps, my computer is back up and running.
Thank you so much bro. When i saw my computer is not turning on.I was not in normal state. When i was searching for solution i found your video and followed how you made it and i did same. Then my computer turned on and it is now working fine. Thanks bro you are really a computer god.Once again thank you from Karnataka,India
Upgrading from 4 to 8 RAM , exact problem 4 beeps and error 3/4 lights. So lucky to find your video , i had no idea what to do, Thanks so much man-worked like a dream !UR......
Thank God for the internet and people like you! My sister freaks out when our PC suddenly shuts down (while she's doing her projects) and when we turn it on it beeps like it's gonna explode. This saves us from going to the computer shop for repair. Thank you again! (Works well with Optiplex 960)
Thank you Sir.. My refurbished Dell 780 just arrived from eBay via FedEx with this issue. Mine has no error code lights, but was buzzing just like yours, .so I tried your method in the hope that would save me weeks of hassle with eBay returns and refunds etc. It worked extremely well. It would seem that during transit the RAM was pushed out of alignment. I'm subscribing.
aw dude thanks bro I own a optiplex 780 and I'm computer illiterate sorta but my digits and beeping disappeared I'm back in the game😁😎 and to think I was gonna get go get serviced mo money in my pocket not to mention the time I saved again thanks..the power of knowledge you guys.. stay in school😉
Thank you sir at first i was told it was a hard drive problem so I bought a ssd but it didn't sole the problem but when you said check the ram i saw one of the clips were open so I closed the clip and powered it on and boom it works fine again
Ty you so much.. I was surfing the net and out of a sudden it said that an error had happened that it was fixing it for me it restarted by itself like four or five times after that it was just beeping and it was showing the same thing as the one on your video I did exactly what you did and it started working I guess one of the memories wasn't on there right.... But I'm on it right now it's working just fine... 🤗🤗
Excellent video and it actually worked for me this afternoon. Now my wife thinks I am a computer genius. Thank you! P.S. I did show her your video and gave you the credit.
I see the problem you experienced was a bad RAM stick. But what would one do if the DIMM slots aren't working? I have tested my sticks and they all work fine on slots 2 and 4 but my slots 1 and 3 do not work.
Thanks, it worked. I didn't have to replace a module tho; or is it because the one that wasn't functioning wasn't put in properly? Can you run on 3 modules?
Thank you! Sometimes, my computer will start after a few times of trying..but this is good to know! Hopefully i can get another card soon and it will last until then!
hello. what if the computer does not accept of the ram sticks u put in. the ram is good. i have a dell 745. lights 3 and 4 on. but none of the ram work in it
thank you for video. I need help My Dell Optiplex 745 SFF No beep and screen blank wont boot, power button light green and light No.2 and 4 is on and fan runing full speed. How to solve the problem. Thank you
I have led 3 and 4 on but no beeps if I take memory out then I get the beeps 1-3-2 then nothing. when I put even on stick in no matter the slot or memory still get 3 and 4 led but no sound at all and now post then what. I'm thinking my bios is crap, reset it cleared it ect and still same problems. when power is supplied it will spin up the fans and then off and one a few times. then when power button is pressed it acts as if it wants to do something but all I get is led 3 and 4, yet no post to screen dont even flash the screen or anything, Also if I just put one stick in it will still show 3 and 4 led's and not just the one but no memory no led 3 or 4 lit and I get the beeps.
I have a optiplex 3010 with the lights 3 & 4 on and when I remove slot 1 ram it goes off I put in working ram in slot 1 and still shows the 3 & 4 lights on does that mean my motherboard is bad
Sir i have issue 6 beeps in dell optplx 990 not display shows i clean and change ram slots but still issue not gone i have this issue befor this but after 3 days pc automatically start working means showing display
?? 4 u. I tried installing new ram. It wasn't compatible so I put the old ram in it but it won't work. No display. The 1 light on front is lit up. Its beeping I think a 1-3-2or3. Could I really have fried both old sticks of ram by trying the new?
i have a optiplex 980 with number 3 and 4 of color ambar permanent,, test whit other memory with of other computer and continue the same error... what i can to do else?
Keith Samano , Black slot is secondary slot and white slot is primary slot. In dell, first, use white slots if you still have more memory then use black slots.
I've got a 755, recently I bought 4 x 2GB RAM sticks, total 8GB but Win 7 only reports 4GB. The identical pairs are in the same channels. CPUID CPU-Z reports the correct 8GB in each slot for the two channels. I have read that these old DELL PCs will only work with RAM sticks that have chips on both sides of the PCB. But why does CPUID report them correctly and not Win 7???? Others have reported that Win 7 detects the 2GB sticks as only 1GB each.. Does anyone else have this problem?
