thank you very much for making this instructional video and taking the time to show all steps. My adjuster was stuck all the way down and you showing all steps helped me today adjust a very loose parking brake. Works great now. Thank you so much again
If it was a heavy duty application I would have but on this setup it’s not required, and very little if any at all, of corrosion, it can’t hurt but never had any issues with bolt removal on this setup and have done tons of I6 4.2👍🏻
Thank you for this great video. I’ve had my new ebrake shoes on for a few weeks now and they’ve adjusted really well. nice and close without dragging. my prob is that the cable won’t stay tight. i move the e brake lever up and down 3-4 time and it tightens up and stays tight for a while but later that day it will be loose again and i have to do the lever up and down procedure again to tighten it. anyone else have that prob. ?
There is a gear looking lever inside the brake handle bring brake handle up as far as it will go put a big flat tip screwdriver in the gear and release the brake handle as it goes down that lever will stay in place while brake handle is being released this should solve your issue
Sir, I have a 2002 Chevy Suburban with 335,000 miles. I am replacing my rear calipers and e-brakes and accidentally twisted the head off of the small screw that holds the e-brake clip. I'm not sure how to get the sheered piece out. Your thoughts sure would be appreciated. I'm thinking of just not using a clip on that side. Not sure what problems that might cause. Can i get away without using that e-clip. Any advise what I could do? Thank you.
Well I’m not sure what you mean by ebrake clip, does it hold brake pad in place? Send me a picture to goodguy01075@gmail.com so I know what you are talking about to give you good advice.
