@@Mr_Leech_HGC There is a video on youtube and a datamined website that goes through the game dev builds, and in it there are plans for this type of content with rather detailed stuff such as 1,3,5 piece artifact sets as rewards.(These artifacts had crazy substats like dmg bonus(80%), movement speed(30 %), cooldown reduction(50%), and elemental shred(80%)). They also had plans for unique floor leyline disorders and shield enemies that never came to be. Pretty cool stuff to look back on. (PS: I've been following this game since early 2019 so I know a ton of stuff that never came to fruition.)

So I have a theory that Genshin is actually too profitable. Like it blew away all expectations on profitability and popularity mostly by luck and now they're so worried about loosing that golden goose, that they refuse to change anything without first having a huge fan outcry and months of market research. That would explain why it takes 4 years to introduce a new endgame mode only for them to not change the reward amounts, since they're afraid the change in awards would cut into the profits. I genuinely think that hoyo would be willing to take more risks in a universe where Genshin was popular but not a phenomenon.

Honestly if Hoyo just gave the bosses in the Spiral Abyss interesting mechanics rather than making them HP sponges and made the Imaginarium actually accessible to all players they would already be going in the right direction towards making the endgame more enjoyable or at the very least more bearable than how it is right now

What would you constitute as an interesting mechanic? Also level 70 is rougly 200 resin worth of boss drops, meaning you in the 30 days the IT is running you can build every character you need, 1 per day, granted weapons and artifacts are little more pricy, but there's most likely some leftovers if you are playing for long enough + the theater is not hard enough so that you need perfect builds.

@@aenodarr7936 1. Anything that bosses don't already do in the game, like with the example Soul gave when talking about the Magu Kenki splitting apart thing for example 2. The issue isn't necessarily with the builds, the issue comes with players being gatekeeper by how many characters of certain types they have which is kind hard when you don't spend much money on the game

Hoyo just giving them more hp so that the whales can test out all their C6 R5 characters on it and call it "so easy" as id it's just a children's playground for them🙄 While it's LITERALLY one of the most important things for f2p players where we can get some primogems and other resources. We'll see how almost all the f2p players will sue hoyo for literally power creeping all f2p players,bc our damage is literally limited and not unlimited like whale players.

By that logic every boss has an "interesting" mechanic, in the new abyss the local legend enables plunging, the horse has a totem you can destroy to stun it, ruin machines require you to hit them in the weak spots for a stun. You can also count having to use overload or geo as a mechanic to counter the bosses. Considering you count having 3 enemies instead of one as an interesting mechanic while you don't for others, I'm having a hard time understanding what you consider an "interesting mechanic" 2. I suppose, but when you actually reach the point where you can go for abyss and IT you should already have a good amount of characters even as a f2p, granted you might not have enough for full rewards, but at worst you're losing 1.5-2 pulls.

​@@CvmDumpp Hyperbloom/burgeon first side, overload/geo the other, for the first you don't even have to get crazy characters, for the second at worst you need chevy or furina for noelle, but then again, it most likely can be done without them, but you'll have to invest into your characters and tactic more. It's not as easy as it is for a whale, sure, but it's not hard enough to cry about powercreep, if anything the worst powercreep genshin has is available for everyone, it's called hyperbloom and burgeon. You also don't have to get 9* in one go, if there's a chamber where you have more troubles, just run everything else and then revisit the chamber with a special team for it. Also, suing because you weren't given 100 primos on a silver platter is, well certainly something lol

5:14 The parry mechanic is in Natlan and is tied to a local legend. There’s actually a few local legends with unique boss mechanics in Natlan.

The current co-op event would be good as a endgame mode. They had good ideas in other combat events as well. Idk why they don't make them permanent.

Really think I'd love a mode something like divergent universe. A 20-30 minute LONG rougelike mode with actually impactful modifiers. That would be crazy fun

Newer players complain Spiral Abyss/IT is hard. Veteran 1.0 players complain it's too easy. The truth is, new and old players will NEVER meet half way like ever, whatever gimmick hoyo adds/changes in the Spiral Abyss / IT The point of end game content is you get to clear them with just enough preparation. You are not supposed to clear them if your account still in its developing stage. Rewarding those players to who made efforts to grind their characters. (If you do not agree, disagree so respectfully)

The issue is that it isn't just a time investment divide, it's also a financial investment divide. Constellations and refines provide insurmountable advantages to those who have them. Resin refreshing roughly triples artifact runs skewing how quickly artifact rolls can converge on perfect stats for those who do it. While newer and lower budget players can also use these tools, doing so significantly restricts what options they have available outside of them. We won't ever be able to have content that simultaneously satisfies everyone across the spectrum without somehow closing that investment gap or negating the importance of that investment entirely. It's been this way since the launch of the game. There was even a time when whales definitively had higher AR than other players because they resin refreshed, before the broader community started hitting AR60.

I have to disagree for IT. The ultimate irony of the mode is that they gave us difficulty sliders...but the stages itself don't change difficulty. It's only more stage + character requirement, which is such a wasted opportunity. if easy mode was easy stages and visionary was ultra hard without constantly gating characters, everyone would be satisfied lol

I'd love the idea of that boss mode, considering the amount of events exclive versions of bosses that have been lost to time, like the Dragonspine ice flower event boss. And maybe the weekly bosses could appear too. Although, I'd change shields to have a damage reduction, like Xingqiu's swords, instead of blocking damage and mantain the interruption resistance, that way the passives related to shields can still proc without an issue

Honestly, ToA was fun to figure out. I got 30 stars this cycle and I was calculating energy of my DPSes, sub DPSes, Verina and Shorekeeper. Two things you didn't mention about ToA. First, you aren't locked in a specific team once you start a Tower. You can clear one stage and change characters as much as you want, so you can plan what characters to use on what so you won't end up with Changli on Inferno Rider... couldn't be me, xd. And you can switch your gear fully between stages, so don't have to have multiple support artifact sets and 5* weapons of the same type. Well executed by Kuro.

They should make a whales only extra floor with 10 - 20 mil bosses that gives no rewards besides testing their fullest potential as if they were f2p.

Honestly abyss and theathre are fine as long as they do the following changes: Abyss - improve on the boss mechanics and make it so that one half is single target while the other half is mobs. Minimal HP inflation IT - Just give more trial characters. Allow everyone to play. Heck you can even turn it as a promotion for your characters. IT is only "not fun" when you cannot even play in the first place.

2:55 So content that force you to bring a specific character/team for certain situation is bad because "it not the way i like it" despite the fact that bringing the one you like for such fight would be a disadvantage. 4:40 So just like the current Abyss with room having bosses but superly jack up in power and extra gimmick that you need a specific character/team to quickly clear it quickly like the current way Abyss was handle. 5:00 Just because a Parry look cool is Wuwa doesn't mean it needed in Genshin due to the vast majority of character wasn't design to do such thing on. Since the core of Genshin is the elemental system, to both increase the damage cap and make it more easier to play without needing high skill due to Genshin was desgin for mobile first with it control scheme. 9:00 The issues is somewhat differ however due to the restriction and rules set of the 3 mode. In Abyss the challenge is build 2 to beat 3 gauntlets in a row with share time as a restriction. In the theater, you are forced to play with whatever hand you are dealt and force to succeed with said restriction you were given, and you are forced to discard the unit to balance out how much power you can have, so you can't Neuvilette your way through the mode. While in Wuwa, you have 3 areas with different challenges that you can swap team after clearing a gauntlet to clear the next one easier with the restriction is you can only use a certain character for an amount of energy. The ironic thing is, Genshin Abyss and Theater actually give me a harder challenge then Wuwa ToA due to restriction i was forced to goes through instead of Wuwa ToA where i beat a gauntlet with a team completely shut it down and then swap to a different team that would instantly shut down the next one till i beat the whole thing.

Having one character clear the easy content seems to contradict the idea of having to actually strategize about teams when its sounds pretty mindless to just have one nuke take out the easy parts and saving the best team for the part that actually matters. Wheres the strategy? Sacrifice your most inconsequential character to cut out the filler and stick to whatever team you typically steamroll the game with for the end. I honestly dont see your argument for imaginarium when its more stragtegic to have to figure out how to properly expend the units you have without losing your best teams for the bosses. The most you can argue is the randomness to who you get removing any agency or strategy by forcing the characters on you. I would argue thats part of the strategy. Rather than just using your perfect setup all the time you have to think creatively with units you've never considered before. If you had freedom of choice you'd optimize the hell out of imaginarium and plan out the parties with very little resistance (it would just be, waste characters here, use best characters here, can spare one or two here and there). Nothing is guaranteed so you have to weigh your options between buffs and characters. The elimination of choice is what forces creative thinking (unless its so restrictive that theres only a singular option). Endgame is supposed to be endgame, why are we concerned that new players aren't able to access a mode that's meant for the top level players? Ignoring casuals that will probably drop the game in a month, I think newer players have more to worry about trying to catch up in story, exploration and other events while building characters rather than trying to beat the high level content. If you're struggling to build teams for regular gameplay why even be concerned with the extra content? But honestly not sure how much this is even relevant since i dont think genshin is worth joining anymore at this point given how much FOMO has rotted this game to a point where its almost impossible for anyone to reasonably catch up to us. Some characters are almost never rerun often enough, event weapons are just completely gone, lore is missing, freemos are permanently lost to time, free character offers have expired. Is the fact that this game is so horrible to newer players an excuse that the mode is not very accommodating to new players? No, the fact that its endgame content should justify why it shouldn't have to care about the new players. This is not content for them. (i should cut this here before i repeat myself and spout more gatekeeping nonsense.) (seriously, no one should invite people to play genshin anymore, the game is beyond saving and hates you for being late to the party. If i wasn't already an ar 60 player i would never play the game knowing the full list of things i would never have if i started today.) I apologize for wasting your time.

I personally like the endgames just as they are and wouldn't wanna change much other than major issues(IT being too restricting,abyss having way too much hp sponges with no interesting mechanics) but i still think they're overall good. I think the complaining about abyss being "too easy"(it's difficult for a big chunk of players) is not very good especially when you use some of the most overpowered teams to steamroll it or whaled out characters(C6 furina) Try to clear the abyss with only F2P weapons,only 4*'s,or restrict certain overpowered characters and it'll be a lot more challenging

Literally just make it like Divergent Universe and I’ll be fine. Let me pick one team and give me buffs over time like a boss rush roguelike. Here I’ll even give Hoyo some ideas on special Catalysts/Curios they can make: Candle of Lukewarm Flames: Triggering Pyro reactions instantly regenerates 10 energy for all Pyro characters Iridescent Incense of Ineptitude: When triggering a Swirl reaction, an additional AOE explosion is triggered matching the swirled element Fluffy Feminine Foam: All female characters deal 30% bonus damage to Hilichurl-type enemies Vici of the Neko: When attacking a Slime-type enemy, all female characters lose 50% of their Max HP and gain a 50% DMG boost ⭐️ Ancient Analog of the Archons: When using an Elemental Skill, instantly kill all enemies below 75% HP. This Catalyst only affects Archons. This Catalyst is extremely rare. ⭐️ Constellation Caller: Upon selecting this Catalyst, select one character to temporarily unlock C6 for. This Catalyst is extremely rare. Bloom Plume: When triggering Bloom, all Hydro characters in your party will automatically moan ⭐️ Everlasting Omniscale: The ATK, Max HP, DEF, and Elemental Mastery of all party members is tripled. This Catalyst is extremely rare. all i want is a rouge like game mode like the childe x xinyan labyrinth event, many other gachas have made them permanent and in every single one is my favorite end game content some examples are elysian realm(hi3), depths of illusivd realm(wuwa and i know it’s not permanent but gets a rerun almost every update) and paradoxical labyrinth(snowbreak), which for the later it’s the only reason why i still play the game every now and then

I like how HSR implemented a mode that gives you stats and builds for characters you haven't invested in, this gives you the chance to use them, maybe not at their max potential but close to that and I think this is great. I also like the rouge like elements of this mode, which are also present in ZZZ's Hollow Zero.

You all asked for this, so I made it, If you have any more video suggestions by all means let me hear them When I spoke about Alhaitham vs Kinich and Mulani Vs Nuvi i ment to Say Kinich and Mulani are single target and Alhaitham and Nuvi work better in multi target. I misspoke and did not catch it while i was editing the video. This video may not be in HD Quality for the first hour after upload, for some reason my WiFi is having issues, but its late, and I want to go to bed so I cant put off uploading this any longer otherwise I am just not going to be able to upload today

Mualani isn't strictly single target, she still works really well with up to 3-4 targets. She does rapidly fall off if the waves have to be cleared in rapid succession though. Nothing can beat shoving a smashed open fire hydrant in the faces of instantly respawning waves like many combat events have become known for.

Negativity aint nothing but the truth. Keeo up the good work. Me personally, whenever i read reviews for anything, i go straight tonthe negative ones. Thats where you find the most truth. Anyone can tell you good things. Deciphering the bad things gives you the truth. Esoecially if the person is descriptive. Then you pick theur analyses apart, add what you know from your own research and reasoning and then you know whats real.

Another factor that makes WuWa's Tower of Adversity have a less barrier for entry than Genshin's Imaginarium Theatre is that characters in WuWa can swap gears across various characters in different floors. Your level of investment to clear the content is lower in order to get the desired rewards. Compare it to Genshin wherein you have to have characters at certain level, certain friendship, and gears that works specifically to specific characters, the barrier for entry is so much steeper.

For me id mostly look for 2 types of endgame - one thats purely skill based and another thats infinitely grindable for rewards you would actually want. This way new players that are good at the game have something to jump right into without being limited by their new-ish account and players who already did everything there is to do in the game have a reason and an option to still play all day.

I agree on the superbosses gamemode and most importantly the no time limit. Being locked out of maximum rewards because of lack of investment VS lack of mechanical skill is never fun. Whales will still be able to clear it easily, but any speedrun aspect will be a self imposed challenge, and less invested players that are dedicated and skilled enough will still be able to cash in on all the rewards. Kind of like that one guy that does weekly bosses no hit with Beidou only.

I just want something like the Labyrinth Warriors event or Simulated Universe as an endgame mode. Just give us difficulty options and let everyone get the rewards if they play even if they do it on easy mode. Rewards could be in a shop so you could save for things like new gliders, or old event weapons. Doing it on harder difficulties would just be for bragging rights and fun.

Does anyone still complain about the endgame til now? I mean probably just a small percentage of the player base who are hardcore gamers or influencers, for the most part, 90% percent of the player base are casual gamers who are either trying the game for the first time, on it for the long haul (finishing it til the last patch - including me') and seasonal players. Back in the day when internet was scarce or limited, people do play games on and on for weeks and months since there was really nothing to do, but nowadays with so much distractions, availability of a lot of things on the internet, anyone can just switch from one interest into another.

a side note with the parry mechanic: What if they just added it to the game perminantly, of course not buffing your characters attacks like it does in the local legend fight, but just maybe doing some damage or giving each character an effect (e.g arlecchino could do a small version of her e that doesn't take her time to cast and she gains a little bit of BoL, or maybe alhaitham gains a mirror or Hu Tao looses hp). It could shake up the meta a little bit and it would be really fun.

I loved the event before Natlan about fighting bosses who were actually stronger and had new moves (I think it was the Specially Shaped Saurian event), would loved that to be a new mode but no... just put more HP in the abyss

I don't really like the idea of parrying Boss attacks. The endgame should measure how good a player is at Genshin Impact, so it ideally should not have unique game mechanics that aren't found anywhere else. There are three core skills that make up the main game. The first skill is raising a character (levelling up, gearing, etc). The second skill is putting together a team with synergy. The final skill is actually playing the team with efficient rotations. A player who excels at all three aspects of the game should be able to clear the end game with relative ease. A player excels at two of these skills should be able to clear the end game with a bit of effort. A player who is only good at one of these skills should be able to clear the end game but with much difficulty. The end game should focus on challenging players to utilize specific Elemental reactions. They should involve things like Elemental checks. They should challenge players to become skilled at playing different kinds of teams. Here are a few ideas. 1. Buffs to the players or debuffs to the enemies for utilizing specific elemental reactions to test mastery of elemental reactions and gauge theory. 2. Buffs to the players or debuffs to the enemies every time an elemental burst is used to test rotations. 3. A big damage buff to one member of the team accompanied by a debuff to the other members to test ability to play hypercarry teams. 4. Make boss enemies immune to damage until the player has disabled them to test knowledge of boss weaknesses. 5. Survival modes that challenge players to stay alive for a certain period of time against extremely powerful enemies.

The problem with efficient rotations is that they don't care about enemies, they might as well be considered as punching bags. Executing rotations might be fun, but the enemies not so much. The only times the enemies are memorable is when they have annoying bullshit mechanics or are really aggressive and strong.

@@triplecatnip7413 I didn't really understand your point, but there is no rule that an endgame mode can only challenge the player on one aspect of the game at a time. You could have a chamber with strong enemies that require specific elemental reactions and efficient rotations for the average player to clear.

@@ukyorulz There's a meme that says "I have no idea what the enemy does, I just do several rotations and it dies". Enemies rarely do anything that forces you to react, especially when strong shielders or healers allow you to not care about what enemies are doing. So fighting different enemies don't really feel different most of the time.

I'm one of the few that like Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater However I think they should have made Labyrinth Warriors a permanent mode. That's more equal to Elysian Realm on Honkai Impact or Illusive Realm on Wuthering Waves just a fun cycle domain run with your team of choice

No, Neuvi being better than Mualani in aoe doesn't matter cause the floor 12 is mostly single target or 2-3 big elites packed together.. My Neuvi and Mualani has same level of investment c0r0 but the sheer absurdity Mualani has is crazy.. She struggled like a ragdoll against 12-2-2 boss bcoz of me not shunning the boss off but she cleared that golem in just 3 nukes 🦈.. My first half has Neuvi hyperbloom second is Mualani hypercarry

Its not that there is no "end game" content per say. It's that I don't feel like there is anything meaningful to do in genshin after building the one character I get every patch and doing like 10 minutes of dailies. IMO we need more resin (like at least twice what we have now / can have it be reliant on how many max level characters you have) Make it feel meaningful to have those Xiao / Eula at level 90 not just for IT which is literally the easiest content and I can only do it once a month for actual progression

I do feel like a big thing holding genshin back from having skill based enemies or non time limit stuff is characters like Zhongli and Kokomi can basically keep you alive individually as long as you can take a hit This is also hamstrung by the fact that character hp can vary greatly from 15-20k to 40-50k so how would you balance a hard hitting enemy when you also have to take into account that they could also have infinite hp or limited hp depending on who is used But still in the end i would rather it be in the game and kinda be easy than not have it in the game at all as for me as a day 1 player i do kinda expect that i should be able to do everything with only some difficulty

You can do the same in Wuwa if you have both Verina and Shore in the same team. Where both massively heal and buff your active DPS so hard you can very easily clear ToA and Holo. The only difference is you slightly die quicker if you are just gonna let the enemy hit you.

Spiral abyss have a longer cycle because Imaginarium Theater exist, this is telling us a lot Genshin is _a casual game_ .The game too easy? Remember spiral 3.6 when we fighting 4 constipated beast in a first half floor, the devs choose the game to be easier at least for the current contents.

all breaking a shield in one hit is going to do is make everyone start using xinqiu again. even with a 50% healing reduction any healer in the game could easily keep you alive alongside xinqiu. just run old school national and you could easily blast through anything. with all the characters genshin has at this point its pretty much impossible to make anything difficult. unless they make the enemies do enough damage to one shot you. and that will be an even less fun way to do difficulty than just massively boosting enemy HP.
