Would this be the same for a “Check Charge System “ message on dashboard?

Very straight forward video, gave you a thumbs up, one question though, if the sensor is the problem would that cause the car to not start in the morning? Alternator and battery test fine, it just wont start if its sits for a long time, 2014 accord 2.4

The battery and battery sensor can cause the engine to not crank over, but would not cause a no start.

@@whyingo7964 engine not cranking over is automatically a no start. Please excuse me if I’m wrong. For I no not what I do once they entered computers and software to vehicles 05 on. It’s a huge learning curve.

Battery is good and holds a charge. When I start the car the voltage goes up to around 13.9V or 14.0V as expected at idle. However if I turn on the headlights (high beam) and the AC with fan at full speed the voltage starts dropping and will get down to even as low is 12.5V and dropping. So I am not sure if it is (1) the alternator is faulty and cannot put out the required increased current to match or exceed the load or (2) if the current sensor is not telling the alternator to output more (bad sensor).

The charging specifications for the vehicle will be needed to know for sure but that does look low. I would have the alternator tested.

@@whyingo7964FYI…I changed the alternator and that fixed the problem. Battery voltage is at 14.5 at idle now with no electrical load. With heavy load (AC on max cool, fan full blast and headlights on) it is about 13.9V at idle so definitely fixed the problem. I went back with Denso alternator.

Would this cause the dash cluster and radio to turn off while driving? This happens and the car drives fine

Yes when the sensor is bad ur not getting a good read so the battery is running on its last life until ur fuse or sensor changed before the alternator you won’t get to the bottom of it
