I applied all the tips and tricks you recommended but still my battery acts dead. Full battery used to last around 4 hours but now it hardly lasts 1 hour. The laptop is just 2 years old.
My laptop .. drains in about 15 minutes... it used to last longer 1 hour or more, it also charges a bit faster. when i plug it in.. it now gets to 100 percent in 45 minutes , when it used to take at least an 1 hour 30 minutes. should i change the charger or is it a problem of the laptop itself?
@@MrSpadeofAce repeat the process for few days (low brightness , not always plugged in) try not to run many heavy apps if you have low end pc (4 or low ram) sometimes make sure you are updating you laptop.
Well mine is mediocre. When Im watching RU-vid or just browsing it won't drain that fast but when Im playing a game it drains a whole 100% in 2 hours which is a bit annoying sometimes
If you are having your cpu, gpu and cooling system running at high loads for prolonged periods of time its natural to get that low battery life out of your machine unless its rediculously efficient or very low powered. Low powered laptops don't hold because they usually have very small batteries and high powered ones simply are power hogs despite their larger battery.
is there anything wrong with my computer it literally was normal 3 days ago but then today it charged up so fast to 100% and then it drains fast im watching like a 1 minute video and it drains so much i dont even know whats going on please help.
Hi, I purchased new laptop. Dell G 15 5520 i5 12th gen 16Gb.From 1st day onwards I'm getting a battery drop of 1℅ per minute. I checked task manager, cpu at 1℅, Dedicated Graphics 0℅, memory 5.8GB, WiFi 0 KBps, Integrated GPU 0℅. No external devices connected while testing reports. Design capacity of battery is 54,891mWh, Full charge of capacity is 52030mWh ( which reducing every next day). A total of just 100 min of backup I get on STAND BY MODE(which is with only display onn and no other function on it) I I talk with Dell and they finally agreed that this laptop should give 3-4 hrs of backup on stand by mode. And they ready to replace with new battery.I kindly request you to share your opinion on this scenario that is my battery has a problem? And if yes then should I allow dell to replace battery of new laptop or should I opt for complete laptop replacement? Waiting...for your reply my friend.
sir i had gaming laptop and for playing game while plug my laptop in charger in palying time its goes to 100% and i still plug my laptop in charger for better gaming exprience and i had dout in my mind that its also effect my batery life please reply.
None of these tips helped me. My laptop is about 2.5 years old now. And before the turn of the year, it'll last for about 4 - 5 hours depending on what programs I'm running. Now it lasts 5 - 15 minutes. And I have 0 idea why it is like that. The only clue is the error message it brings up right before I boot up the laptop.
I recently replaced a *dead* Asus ROG laptop battery. Shipped to me 60% charged so charged it to 100% and followed the instructions of "charge it to full - drain it without AC plugged in, to 0% - Rinse/Repeat X3". Was pleased it held it's 100% charge for about a week or so... then noticed it was slowly leeching 1% at a time, with AC plugged in. Running various systems diagnostics on all the laptop hardware are not turning up any obvious problems and didn't see any physical ones when the laptop was open for the battery swap. Hard-drives (HDD / SSD pass quality scans), Fans are running quiet and cool. Voltages are correct. Laptop isn't set to "High Performance" - GPU to "Optimized" Can't for the life of me figure it out.
I just bought a brand new. Replacement charger and a brand new batery But as we all know the batery came half charge But once I install the batery and plug the charger the batery went down to zero So I left it to charge ant it was charging but once I use it it wand plug in and still draining or dischargibg
For some reason, these method wont work and it still drains quickly because its due to the battery has worn a lot down like 50% so the best way is to have a new battery. This should solve your problem
Thank you for the video, However, im using Acer nitro5 gaming laptop and the battery drain withing 15mints if i unplugging the charger. I have changed the battery with new one, but still having the same issue!! any suggestions in how to fix it?
I bought hp laptop 2 week ago , they said it is used up to 7-8 hour but it comes from 100 to 10 in 3 hours my laptop is 11 generation , i3 core convertible laptop
I have a brand new computer and the battery only lasts 3 hrs, is this normal? Its a Dell inspiron 14 2 in 1. I don't use it for games ...Any tips or idea are appreciated. Thanks
Hi there, thank you for your question! For a Dell Inspiron, 3 hours of battery life may be normal depending on how you are using it. If you are performing tasks that require a lot of processing power such as editing videos, the battery life will be shorter than if you are simply browsing the web or working on documents. You can try extending the battery life by adjusting the screen brightness as a brighter screen consumes more power. Additionally, you can disable features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or backlit keyboard when you are not using them. Closing unnecessary applications and removing any external devices that are not in use can also help. Finally, you can try updating your computer's drivers and BIOS to ensure they are up to date and not causing any power management issues.
Bought my hp laptop a tad over 5 years ago. Within a year, battery malfunctioned. From the moment I unplugged, dead within 5 minutes. I had protection plan, so a new battery was covered. Good. Now again since few months, laptop dies within 15 minutes of unplugging. Laptop otherwise still functions fine. My next laptop won't be hp. It seems like they make these machines only to last couple of years.
And my 9 month laptop is lasting barely 2 hours (I repeat barely) and it used last over 6 hours. For information I am talking about HP Victus-16. No way software could eat that much and I am using it for only office jobs without gaming.
I figured out what was wrong! My mom asked me to fix the Family Computer and figure out why the battery kept dying, and i knew nothing about technology, and then I came across this video!we have had this laptop ever since I was born, and never changed the battery! Guess it was just too old 😅
