Pain makes you stupid. What I am really saying is that when your in pain you forget things that can and will help you. I saw this video and it reminded me of all these great things I can do for relief! Its so easy to help somebody else. When it comes to things to helping yourself we ALWAYS forget. Make a folder and save these videos! Next time pain over takes your brain... go to your saved videos. It helps a lot!
I play volleyball and I have now twice gotten pain on my lower back, one time on my right side now on my left. To people exercising, stretching is EXTREMELY important and a crucial part of training. These stretches works for me! :)
Most low back pain is the result of an injury, such as muscle sprains or strains due to sudden movements or poor body mechanics while lifting heavy objects. Low back pain can also be the result of certain diseases, such as: cancer of the spinal cord. a ruptured or herniated disc.👍
Depends on your case but I am trying to plug leaks in core stability. Like mine flares up after work (work in preschool, lifting kids occasionally) and kettlebell swings. So currently experimenting with varied movement, core training, and controlled rotation. Although I have some of the latter exercises showed here as rehab exercises.
Same happen to me before 2 weeks it was a flexion intolerant which got better in less than 3 days and yesterday I try to squat again 80% of my max and had a back pain and it's a one sided lower back I couldn't sleep last night on my right side. I think I will give up on squat for long time and focus on my core and posture

@DEMON FURY EDITS what helped me was having good posture and also making sure to stay working out and not letting my back get weaker. It took about 3 weeks for my back to become normal again
Sir,Im 22 male, two hears ago I over stretched my head forward by tucking my chin inwards to realif from normal headache. From that time i had pinching nervs on my 'scalp' and 'eyebrows' ,and when I sit for long time, then nerve in my eyes and scalp will start paining and stapling like pain. I this I have disc herniation near neck hump region and upper back. Please guide some exercises to cure this herniated disc in neck ,for upper back I watched your video. For neck please make videos. I got lower pain almost a week ago, tried few regular stretching, some painkillers not working properly, found this video, did one by one the exercises and I can feel already the relief, lesser pain, thank u so much 👌🏻
After I did these exercises I had a stiff back and could hardly move next day. And the pain was now not one-sided anymore but on both sides. I think especially the Piriformis stretch was very painful, maybe not good for me.
Hi doctor thanks a lot for your videos! I am a 17-year-old girl who has been sitting on a chair for a year and has not exercised. I have had lower back pain for several months, but recently it has become more severe. I took an MRI and I had inflammation, and besides that, my lower back muscles have become very weak . I can't sit even for 5 minutes! There is a spot on the left side of my back that hurts a lot even when I touch it and i think it's QL muscle . Is my QL tight? I have a very important exam in 4 days and I have to sit on the chair for 4 hours in a row but I can't and after 5 minutes my back hurts !! If I do these exercises, will my back heal in 4 days? I thru out my lower back from bending over to tie my shoes how always used to do. After few adjustments i feel like im getting much better but my glute and hip area still tight and sore should i do the tennis ball in low back or more towards glute?

It usually flares up in the lateral right portion, but I swear, I just tried a couple of your stretches and my back already reels significantly less painful. I have various issues throughout my spine as a result of a CTD, but the muscle tightness and pain in a specific area of my left lower back (between spine and hip) has been difficult to address. I have the same issue, same side, directly above, in the scapular muscle area. I’m guessing that both issues are due to my mild scoliosis as the pain occurs after long periods of activity. Thanks!! 👍
Sir i have got this lower back pain from doing hard streching like i totally tilt my body downwards my right side when i came up i felt a lot of pain on my left lower back then i did all these exercises now its good but still sometimes feel like i can crack the left side or the pain may trigger again although its good now but the situation is that now i have got pain in right lower back too and it gets triggered when i do my gym workout like dumbbell row or and workout were i need to tilt my back downward and i tilt my back a bit on left side and came up and felt a very bad pain like i was unable to move the pain is on right lower back and its paining when i move my back downward

Thank you I was lying on my bed when it suddenly hit. Walking and doing anything that requires me to move hurt a lot but now I feel better and it doesn’t hurt as much.
I dont know what I did but today I had lower back pain on my right side to the point I could barely walk or move without severe pain. This video actually helped!! Thank you!! Pain isn’t gone but I can move comfortably now! ❤️
Running regularly had helped get rid off f my back pains. Now that I’ve not been running, my back pain kicks in, so I take a long walk. I’ll try those exercises, and see what happens. 👍
Any activity is great and helpful, but the best thing you can do are focused core exercises (stretching and strengthening) to help the problem. I hope you get relief from these, Alex!
What a timely video. I had a stroke more than a year ago, and am still experiencing muscle contractures on the right side of my back, which was the side of the body affected by the stroke. Today, the lower right side was particularly bad for some reason, and I could not figure out how to even begin stretching out of the pain. This just popped up as a suggestion in my feed as I am lying here trying to relax. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
Literally everytime i do squats at gym i tweak my back. Why i stopped doing them. But every few months i think "maybe im stronger now" and nope, puts me down for 4-6days. Cant freakin move smh

Okay so I wouldnt leave a comment since its unlikely that dr jared replies to it but it seems that he answers to many comments so I give it a go :) Iam having lower back pain on the right side. I get the pain when I do squats and deadlifts but not after just finishing the exercise, more like 2 hours after I left the gym. The pain feels like its coming from the top of my hip but also right next to my spine. It kind of inside my body because I cannot feel anything when I try to apply pressure. I feel the pain when I do stuff like bend over to tie my shoes, get out of bed and sutff like that but no pain when walking, jumping or anything like that. The pain goes away after three days normally. Ive already been to a chiropractor but his excerises did not really help. Maybe You cawn provide me with your view from what I wrote, thanks in advance!
I did some work out in the yard 6 days ago and was bending over quite a bit pulling weeds and picking up small tree branches for a good 3.5 hours. I assume because I was probably bending over in the wrong way, and not squatting as much as I should have that I irritated my lower back, especially on the left-hand side which I’ve injured previously. I do yoga so I’m pretty flexible but two days later when I got in the morning I could barely bend over at all. A heating pad has helped tremendously but these stretches will as well. I’ve been hesitant to do them because I’m afraid it will hurt but I’m glad the reviews seem to say otherwise. Thank you for this.
I got back pain from one side left side 😢 i went to a doctor and he told me u have nothing serious he gave me Muscle relaxant medication and after 3yrs still have the same problem hopefully these exercises help me 😭
The child pose aggravated my lower left side. I’m not sure what happened, but it started hurting after a push day (lower left side, near spine). The next day, leg day, I could not squat or deadlift due to the pain. It might be pulled, but not sure.
i have had lower back pain since 6th grade. i’m not in 11th and it’s gotten severe i can’t walk or get out of bed sometimes the pain is so bad it’s in the lower right side but on bad days it’s my entire back, on the bad days it’s so excruciating that i am basically paralyzed until it stops. when i lay down my right foot is higher up than my left, when i stand my left choulder comfortably sits higher while my right is lower, when i fix this it’s uncomfortable. how can i fix this??
😅oh my god that really works if you guys wondering.. why this pain happens it cause by setting to much and working on ur pc or gaming if don't wanted to happen set a timer for each 20 min you stand do quick stretches for your lower back and your back and neck and knees 😅 and walk a bit it only gonna take 10 minutes the thing is don't set for more than half hr without moving and standing 😊
how can avoid this pain when all i do that thing is hart me again, I’m beginner in guitar, and when I practice .. my hip always being in wrong place, I always look at the fretboard to see the strings and l tried all position to not have this pain when I play but I’m in pain, I’m totally Self-taught so what you think? what should i do now? should i have stop playing? or what

It seems to be connected to my SI Joint as when I stretch 1 I pull the other. I'm hyper mobile and see a chiropractor but this time nothing wants to hold in place. Can i do the swimmers more than 100 reps? Or any of these exercises? or does that going to make them weaker? I feel like my body relieved when i do more reps than recommended
