How to fix priming issues on a spray machine

This is a very simple procedure that will help you out on site if your rig for some reason does not prime. Tools needed for the job are
Adjustable spanner
A small flat blade screwdriver
And plenty of water
9x out of 10 what's usually causing the priming issues are dried flaking paint, grit in the paint or or not storing your sprayer correctly for long periods of time when not in use.

the best Colin I,m in canada and my machine is a titan but looks exactly like yours , wont prime and I think its the valve although I cleaned it all out and the ball is free its a mystery , love the cockney accent, like me east end boy thanks

Good evening Colin, thank you so much for doing this video , your very good and easy to understand your instructions. I will try it weekend when I'm of. Another question I have do you use different filters? For gun and manifold? As I still use the one that came with the machine as it's less than a year old

Theres no need to change the manifold filter but the filter in the gun I change depending on what type of paint I'm using. If I'm using emulsion I use the white tritech filter and if I'm spraying primer undercoat I use the yellow filter that one seems to work a hell of a lot better than the red filter. Hope that helps you

@@camdecorations9779 Hi Colin, just wanted to say that all worked a treat, sprayer working brilliant bro, just a another quick one have you tried spraying the woodwork finish oil satin or gloss finish ? If you had another spray machine just for oil paints, I wonder does it run alot

@@nialloconnor5321 I haven't sprayed oilbase paint through the machine just because the amount of masking up that I would have to do and I don't think it would be cost affective for me. I would run a separate machine for gloss and emulsion though.

@@camdecorations9779 ok colin, alot painters spray but not top coat oil that's still on most sites 2019, it should be changed to water Base so could spray finish. Might try it sometime

I would get the graco 395 The reason why is it takes less time to clean up and if you've got a seal or piston problem you can take the hole unit out and replace it in minutes by yourself . If you get the tritech t4 you would have to send it off to get fixed. It's a good solid machine. Have a look at my other videos I have a review on the graco and tritech

Thanks again. In my country the price of T4 is at the same level of Graco 190 C only. The 395 is much more expensive than T4. At that scenario, you still prefer Graco 190 over T4 ?. I am not pro, I just will use for home and DIY woodworking projects.

@@mrsaezs oh no the t4 all the way is a much better machine , in the UK the graco 395 is still cheaper than t4.

@@mrsaezs if it's the same price and your not a pro still go for the t4 it will last you a life time , just make sure if you store it for long periods of time run pump armour in the machine .
