Hey guys and welcome back to another video.
In this video, I wanted to share a few troubleshooting tips on how to fix your PS2 when there is no video output showing on your TV or monitor.
Step by Step Tutorial - Changing PS2 Video Output Settings without having any video on the screen (black screen)
1. Connect all cables to the PS2 and TV/Monitor (power cable, HDMI adapter, HDMI cable, controller)
2. Ensure there are no PS2 discs in your playstation
3. Power on your PS2 and wait 30 seconds
4. Make sure your controller is on (red light under 'Mode')
5. D-Pad down once
6. Press X and wait 10 seconds
7. D-Pad down 3 times
8. Press X
9. D-Pad left once
10. Press X
11. This will change your PS2 settings from RGB to Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr
12. PS2 video should now show up on your screen

I’m experiencing an issue with one of my PS2 games. When I insert the disc, the console recognizes it, shows the logo, and everything seems fine. However, after that, the screen turns black. For comparison, the same game works perfectly on an emulator, and my PS2 console is functioning properly with other games. Could the problem be related to my TV settings or compatibility? Do you have any advice on how to fix this issue?

Hey man i was thinking about buying the exactly the same thing as you so i can play my ps2 on my computer. I have windows 10. Is the latency bad becouse i saw a lot of people complain about that? Please answer becouse im really trying to save money. Thank you!

Thank you for making this video! I have a PS2 slim but I was still having issues so I tried the second fix you did in this video with the regular PS2 and that worked on my slim and now I have video 👍

hi, I can hear audio from my headphones, which are plugged in the adaptator Ps2-hdmi,but on obs i have black screen, I tried your method but it still not work, I don't know if the video capture is broken or I am missing something on obs

my biggest issue is random blackouts using these adapters, ive tried both ps2hdmi and a bitfunx adapter, and both randomly looses signal, making the screen black and no sound for 0.5 seconds about 4 or 5 times in a row, its really annoying

I have a problem with the normal AV cable but just finding HDMI dongle problems online ... my TV says I got a signal. but my screen is black and there is no sound ...

I have the fat and did what you said with usb cable etc. it shows the screen until after the PlayStation 2 logo flashes and then it goes back to saying no signal. Tried on 3 tvs.

Are you sure the component cable isn’t faulty? Does it work with your PS3?

I'd recommend getting the HDMI converter to see if that would work. If it doesn't, there may be an issue with your PS2 :(

Hi, I have a slim ps2 and I'm trying to connect it to my pc monitor. I previously tried to use a different adaptor (and I was successful with the video output) just to be reminded that my monitor has no built-in speakers. I then bought a model very similar to the one you show in this video and connected it (already set my ps2 on component by using the old adaptor which let me see the video) and tried to connect it. I can hear the audio in my headset but my monitor doesn't recognise the video source. Help?
