How to fix Screen Flickering , display driver issue in HP windows 10 laptop

Poor me I dont know exactly whats the issue and give them the money and changed the display. But same issue came back again after a week. And I am here fixed it with help of this video. My compliments for your explanation! however it didn't work for me. After 4 hours of research I finally know why. The thing is your solution is about an "old" operations system (Windows 10) that cannot handle the newest Graphic Card Driver. My problem was a NEWER operations system (Windows 11 22h2) that cannot handle an "older" Graphic Card Driver. This results in exactly the same annoying flickering as in your video. THE SOLUTION here is: 1. Right-click the Start button and select Control Panel. 2. Make your way to System and Security. 3. Click System. 4. Click Advanced system settings from the left sidebar. 5. Select the Hardware tab. 6. Press the Device Installation Settings button. 7. Choose No, and then press the Save Changes button. By default the setting is YES which means that windows update is forced to AUTOMATICALLY install the OEM driver (the old one) over and over again. So you update driver from 2020 to newest driver from 2022... You run windows update BOOM here you have the old 2020 driver again. But if you switch of this automatic manufacturing restore function.. then you KEEP the newest driver, even after running the auto windows update.

I was facing flickering while startup hp logo only. but not while working so i did it directly in normal mode. Rolled back display driver to prv version and then updated again and it worked. thanks for the help buddy. keep it up.

Thank You, The issue is now fixed. whenever my mouse touched any of the egdes of the screen, screen would start flickering. Its now fixed.

This fix did stop the flickering however when I check the device details it still shows '26' Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I did every step correctly so why didn't it correct? I must have done something wrong. It stops flickering for a couple of days but then it goes back Help

Each time it says the most up to date driver is installed. This video helped to fix the issue. It looks like somehow the version 26.x.x.x had some serious bug that prevents new updates? It can be also work when uninstall all quality updates then install updates from windows update manager then you won't get the problem The reason this problem comes is depend on your hardware or software which need to install new packages overwriting on installed updates thats the reason you get this errors

Thank you bro for saving my a$$....It worked for me.. Also I would like to add, If you 'Roll Back Driver' instead of Uninstalling it, it would not install the newer driver again. First I uninstalled it just like you said, but when I booted my laptop again, after few minutes the problamtic driver was automatically installed/updated and issue reappeared. Hello Bro. My laptop screen also flickering while on after sleep. It will Ok when doing hard restart. Screen flickering only on from sleeping mode. I didn't update the display adapter. It was installed when i was buy. 2020 february. If i uninstalled the display adapter what happend? if i updated it will popup to preveius version, but i didn't updated. Thank you!!!! This worked perfectly. I didn't even need to go into safe mode. I was able to uninstall the driver while the screen was flickering since the flickering on mine wasn't as bad as it is in the tutorial. Obviously that won't work for everyone, but you can try to do that first if your screen allows.

I formatted my HP laptop running windows 11 completely the problem is still their ocassional flicker every 15 secs or so before formatting I booted in safemode and even that had the flickering. I wonder if it's an hardware issue
