It's not a solution, it's a barely usable workaround. The thing with Premiere is that you can have all the hardware needed, but the software is just full of bugs. The same kind of errors happen on a high-end GPU. You really don't spent hefty amount of money on a nice GTX / RTX only to use CPU because editing software has a bad day.
@@Bleckzii Happens randomly, depending on the project scale. For more stability I recommend switching to Resolve. Not only it has free version, but also company policy is very different from Adobe, they fix bugs instead of pretending they're not present.
Lifesaver! I've been getting those errors when skimming through with L but I just sorta ignored it, I would just play back normally every few seconds to keep the quick skimming- however I couldn't even speed a bit of footage up and it would crash out Premiere. Thank you so much for this short and sweet video.
Thank you so much, I didnt even have the same issue as you, It would come up on my screen as warning: global frames is 0 and then the effect wouldn't work after that but doing this fixed it, appreciate it.
This solves the problem without the tremedous loss of speed caused by the deactivated hardware acceleration. But to create low quality proxies often solves the problem too. Thank you very much!
If you're unable to select the mercury playback engine software only option, there may be other issues. It could be your graphics card doesn't support it. You can also try to make proxy clips which i explain in version two of this video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QrVhjSZn1Oc.html
First convert the HEVC file type to AVC type, then edit the video using Adobe Premiere Pro. It seems that to edit HEVC type videos you need a computer with high specifications or indeed Premiere Pro doesn't fully support HEVC type videos. CMIIW
So I followed these steps but my “Mercury playback..” option was locked. I couldn’t modify the settings…however I “Nested” my clips and it worked normally.
It mostly happens when the format is not supported and you use a plugin. Higher the resolution and framerate more inclined it is to show this error. Premiere should be able to offer webm and mkv support. It sucks.
after watching your video i solved my problem...but frames dropping while playback ... My footage 50p and 4.2.2 10bit file from Sony Z150 camera.. and I took correct project setting..please help mp sir.. this Raju from India, Hyderabad
