Thanks son much I hade a code 27 Which was a stupid air light switch bulb and after i fix that I got a code 47 you save me a lot of time and more importantly my air bag light is off thank you!!!!

I hope it works out, I had a heavy friend who I think when he sat in the seat, put enough tension on the plug to disconnect it a little. Drove me crazy until I found the fix

I watched a lot of videos to try to fix this on my 2004 Ford Escape. As simple as it seems, yours is the one that worked. I was prepared to tear into the dash or worse. THANKS. I subscribed and liked.

Right that's what I was thinking 😂 I never comment but it worked an it was simple and it works so I had to support it love theses videos and to find one simple and actually work without 20min of B's with it to anyone making videos....,short sweet and to the point gets you good reviews, subscription and likes .....! thanks again everyone trying to help their fellow man

On mine, I discovered the clip was missing and they used those red clamps to bypass having the clip. Thanks to you, I found it and all it took was a wiggle to fix. 👍🏻

This really work. I had an accident and after my car got out of the body shop I noticed this light blinking . I did try many other things and nothing worked, then this morning I did find this video, try and NO MORE LIGTH. Have to try both connections under the seats . Thanks

Spot on, 100% effective. I upgraded a 2002 Escape seats with those from a 2005 that came with side airbags. Having torn out the interior, I got the dreaded airbag lights. I only just noticed the 4-7 code which I hadn't noticed before. Disconnected the little yellow hooter under the seat, waited 30 seconds and poof! Light gone. Easy peasy and took about 3 minutes to do. Many many thanks!

Absolutely wish all repairs were that easy. Wasn't sure if it was fixable since I took old cloth seats WITHOUT side airbags AND had disconnected the battery while removing the yellow hooter clips and had forgotten that this can usually trip an airbag light. Went right to the source and feel like I actually accomplished something! Good job with the advice.

@@momule55 Ah...little yellow hooter. It was a military expression from the 1970’s and was used as a placeholder for any item you didn’t know the correct name for. The military has a distinct vocabulary new to ‘‘cruits” (recruits), so when you didn’t know the correct name for something, but could adequately describe it, it became a hooter. Eventually your hooter became a “ferrule”, a”subtense bar”, or a “tanker bar”. Troops learned to describe an item and eventually picked up the correct vocabulary.

This looks fairly easy but I’m a bit confused, do you turn of the vehicle, unplug, plug back on then turn car on? Or turn off car, unplug, plug back in then turn car on?

Turn your car off, use a paper clip to jump those two ports (if paperclip is coated, be sure to strip to bare metal), turn the key to on, lights on dash will rapidly flash. Leave like that for 30 minutes, (no less), turn key off and then start. Make take a few tries but should run, let ECM reprogram on idle

i just did the procedure unplugging the sockt with the car motor off....both seats....turned on and it blinks 3 times every 5 seconds....what could that be?

Hi Taufik. I’m not sure what could be the problem. The amount of flashes corresponds to the code, in this case it was 4 and then 7. And I did have my truck turned off, at the time of unplugging the connector.

Probably should always do changes to electrical things whith the car off and maybe even with the battery disconnected. This prevents other unwanted surges, grounds and shorts when plugging things back in. This is just a general tip for any electrical wiring work.
