Mine just started doing this a few weeks ago...5 beeps and it does it 5 sets. Now, my air bags were blown 6 years ago, so, I don't really care if it disables them. Thanks!
Sounds Excactly correct, as my 2001 explorer had the dash indicator on until i noticed an audible 5 beeps while the light indicator has disappeared from the dash. Good Job THANK YOU
Thank you now I now how this beep beep started. It started right after my airbag light stopped work two weeks ago. Thank you so much for this info going to fix it right away before it drives me crazy!!! Lol
That's the airbag diagnostic module. It controls activation of the airbags. So yes, disconnecting it saves much annoyance. But I wouldn't recommend forgetting about it afterwards.
I’ve got this beeping after taking out the cluster gauge, I unplugged what he unplugged which is the airbag sensor and it doesn’t beep anymore thank you!!! I’ve got an aftermarket steering wheel which has no airbags so win win
Why does your driver side air bag look different? I have an 02’ V6 Mustang and I have to say that I like the look of the one you have better than the original one. Any ideas?
What happens if you dísconnected that part? Something wrong? In My Mustang is the same beep noise, but it makes the noise after 30 minutes driving the car.
Erick Carmona Mine was the same way. I've been driving it that way for a couple months with no issues. Somebody told me that the part you disconnect is the airbag sensor, and it's like a 500 dollar part to replace. So you will be driving without airbags, but if it's beeping like that, you're already doing that anyways.
I found out that it is a worn-out door pin switch that turns your dome lights on and off located on the inside of your door. If you replace that the dinging should stop
The part you are disconnecting is the airbag sensor. If it's beeping like that and this fixes it, it means the sensor is faulty, and you won't have any airbags unless you replace the sensor.
I have the same beep but my airbag light is on on a 2006 crown victoria on my passanger side. There is no burned out light. So i guess my airbags are out.
Well with the beeping it says there’s something wrong with the airbag system. I would assume they wouldn’t work even with them plugged in if they have a problem but I could very easily be wrong
@@prestonbenton8063 The fix is to replace the crash sensor or sensors at the from of the car/Truck. But before you do anything with the airbag system is to disconnect the battery and let the internal charge drain.
That is not how you fix it do you even know what you’re disconnected fix it would be finding out why it’s Dean and fixing that problem not disconnected the wire harness so you do some more research and figure out why it is dinging
