When you mention oral health and the microbiome, I found dogs that have dirty chew toys have poor guts as well. Also, if there are multiple dogs in the home and the toys are passed around as well as dirty, can wreak havoc on the microbiome.

Can affordable pet labs help with blood draws for titer testing? I see bloodwork tests on their site but nothing for titers. I found a vet willing to help me with a titer but it was a ...traumatic conversation for us with me crying and them giving in after [they tried to give her 3 vaccines when I was there for something else and to ask about titers/blood draws]. They said AVMA doesn't recognize Dr Dodds work with titers and they are an AVMA hospital, so even though they did give in and give me a quote for a titer with Antech and a quote for bloodwork...I'm scared of doing this and getting results from them that are high enough to show she has mounted an immune response...and they tell me the titer is too low. I'm probably being crazy. It's just been a really tough journey to try to advocate for my dog. I know everyone just wants what is best for her but I am starting to understand why people don't go to the vet.
We recommend reaching out to them to ask. If you're having trouble with your vet doing the testing, we recommend finding one that aligns more with what you're looking for if you can't. Please keep in mind you are your pet's advocate and can decline tests/vaccines, etc. You can always ask your vet if you can sign a waiver stating that you know you're not following their recommendations and that can sometimes help more conventional vets be at peace with these differences. The titer tests are the same, so if your vet is more comfortable going through Antech or Colorado State University, it's better than just giving vaccinations. If the pet is not registering a titer, then a vaccine may be helpful. Also, keep in mind that we should only be vaccinating healthy pets, so if there are symptoms, then asking the vet to help figure out the health issue and then when your pet is healthy, then you're happy to look at vaccinating them is a conversation that can be inclusive and acknowlege your desires while doing what's best for your pet. @@thenaturalpetdoctor I reached out to ask. This helps. I'm pro vaccines...just scared of over-vaccinating and wanted to titer before vaccinating again. I try really hard to be inclusive/open with my questions and wording - as I respect their opinions and understand where they are coming from. She's got some kind of allergies happening...I don't know if vets consider that an illness..and I've had another vet try to give a vax during an ear infection, which I declined. I just feel stupid questioning them. They went to school for years and practiced for 20 years...I've watched a thousand hours of RU-vids and read whatever studies and articles I could find. I just want my baby to live a long healthy life. Having a really hard time finding a more integrative open minded vet within 3 hours of me that will deal with things like vaccines, but yeah - that's my goal...for my own mental health . anyways, thank you Dr Katie.
Which test should I choose for toy poodle. She has diagnosed with gastric bile syndrome. She taking 10mg of omeprizole every day. Without it she pukes.

I live in Norway and there is no testing available here, so my holistic vet is stuck helping me further. I have now ordered a micro biome test from the US, but I’m unsure if I should have done the nutriscan first😅

I wonder which test would be better for trying to figure out eosinophilic granuloma in a kitten. Cost is a real issue, and I can't do all the tests or join the program, unfortunately.
