Well my light in my Tacoma shifter fell out and doesn't work anymore. I figured this would be a good chance to video it and show you guys how to do it and what you need.

Thanks for your video. My 2002 Taco use a Sylania #37 wedge bulb. Unscrew the bulb holder clockwise. Remove the amber condom and reuse on new bulb. I had to tweak the wires on the bulb to make it work. A putty knife and upholstery tools are good to have. My 4/4 shift knob has a cheep self-tapping screw on the driver side.

Thank you for the video, it helped me. Of course I put the light in backwards and it was driving me crazy. so I put everything back together the first time and didn’t test it when I originally did it.

I thought the shifter light on the 2001-2004 Toyota Tacoma auto shifter light was a 168/194 bulb but a 74 bulb wow. I used to own a 1999 Toyota 4Runner with the 168/194 bulb. I'm surprise that Toyota used the same courtesy light bulb in the 4Runner/Tacoma. Great info by the way. Wish you do more video with the Tacoma.

I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma Automatic, and 74 bulb was too big and wouldn't settle into the socket. The factory bulb was skinnier. Can't find any info on what it should be and I'm worried the amazon one won't fit unless I confirm what size I need.

How do u get your interior lights to turn on with LED lights? My truck has to be on completely for them turn on i kind of feel like going back to the halogens

Is the LED bulb for the shifter loose enough in the holder that it may come off during normal driving conditions? I saw you had to trim your bulb for it to stay in the holder, but I don’t off road my truck like you do.

I have an 02 auto trans pre runner, and well my shifter light I guess went out, but how would I take the bulb out as it seems stuck in the plastic part??

@@BK_BT thanks, it was slippery, but I covered it with a shirt and used regular pliers and it came out like butter... sorry if I asked previously, but do you know the size the smaller bulbs are in the instrument cluster panel, like the blinkers, high beam, etc?..

@@BK_BT man thank you very much, I've been check tacoma forums and I've been seeing different numbers everytime, I knew for sure you'd know, and boom. Once, I get it a little more tweaked out, I'll prolly make a vid, but as being a broke, nearly minimum wage, and cost living in hawaii ve taking a toll, so I can only save so much, but I got it coming together. Changed my shifter light, and the 4 main bulbs in my IC, I chose purple.. kinda wanted like a Sith kina theme with a purple glow, but I'm working on it. Thanks again man, you're very helpful and responsive, mahalo and aloha mait.

Wheeeere did you get that cup holder. Did it come with your truck? I have the exact same set up but my center console just had an empty area behind the shifter. I’ve been looking for a way to put a cup holder there.

888 WERKES for the cage do I pry it out or is there a little plastic element that I need to press or pull before I pull the cage ? I see the cage but I’m not sure to pry it out ( I don’t want to risk breaking it) Thanks for the heads up
