Watched this video once, attempted and sadly failed. Came back a year later, watched and tried again and this time I GOT IT! Great explanation, it just wasn't computing in my brain the first time--but tonight I can finally say I completed my whole head. And it will only get neater from here. Thank you so much! And in case it helps anyone else, watching this on my computer, and having the screen face the mirror so I could mirror her exact movements ended up helping me grasp it much better :)
Same here girl, she is literally the first subscribe I have done just coS her hair is so so similar to mine if not the same, and she even looks similar to me!
I just found you literally an hour ago, and I subscribed in a heart beat, I usually only subscribe to RU-vidrs with my hair length, wich is short, but is almost impossible to find an actually 4c hair RU-vidrs with a simple hair regiment and that doesn't do the most. And Nice toturial,
My daughter give mi info so I have 🏃♀️ run over here I really want to learn how to flat twist so bad🤦♀️it like my life depending on it i need to learn this so bad thank you Jen Jackson I hopefully I learn a lot more than flat twist god bless you mama 🥰🥰🥰🇯🇲🇯🇲💯💯👌
I just love how you’re teaching me how to work with my hair in shrink. Coz before I used to think in order for a good result the hair needs to be straight. I did mini twist last night Buh I know after I take ‘em down I’ll do this. Thank you thank you
Now this was a super cute hairstyle for virtually any and every occasion including work. I've watched many a video on how to flat twist and it is very hard to explain. Any and all of us who want to master it just have to go in and do it lol its gonna look a bit janky, but oh well we'll get better. Thank you so much for the upload I love your enthusiasm!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!! I finally saw what I was doing wrong! This will be the reference video I will share when people mention they want to try flat twisting!
This is great! I just came from your most recent video…I found my problem…I was using bigger sections and I was grabbing too much hair…maybe I’ll practice moving forward on old twist outs right before it’s time to wash…I make my mistake and practice on freshly washed hair and I need to style my hair for the week and get frustrated, thanks for this! Helpful for sure. Cute style…maybe this will be the first I try once I have it down!😅
Love that energy you give your hair, especially when it is shrunken. It's great! Many youtuber use negative descriptions when referring to their hair especially in its shrunken form. Keep it up! Every stage of African hair is beautiful. Love yours ladies and gentlemen, LOVE YOURZ.
THANKS SIS! That makes sense! Been self teaching on braiding hair since my little girl was born. I was doing braided cornrows and 2 strands in my daughters hair the other day and I noticed that i was able to braid her hair better when i was grabbing small parts of her hair to braid down and a light bulb kicked in like " duh this is how your braids and flats become more defined and neater which prevents loosening and causing the hair to look very frizzy. . Will definitely follow!
I sooooo thank you for doing this. Just like everything else with natural hair........ it’s trial and error and will be awkward until it gets comfortable to you. Not long ago African threading was awkward and like the 3rd time I did it, I was much more comfortable. I’m pretty close to getting the flat twist down. It definitely helps to see a demonstration! Thanks Jenn for all you do!
Came across this video. Thanks for the inspiration, the style looked beautiful on you. Love listening to your voice, your way of presenting is lovely and allows you bubbly self to shine 😊
My right side is near perfect the left is work and the rest of the hair has dried out already. Mad respect for their perfect outcome. I guess it takes time to perfect the art. I ain't giving up anytime now.
I ain't even watched it yet but I know I'll love it. This lewk tho Jenn, we gon get a makeup tut or what? Wish me luck in trying tnis flat twist thing. Maybe it'll work this time around 😂 Thankz for lookin out for us Jenn! You da MVP!
I’m so glad you made this. I tried twisting a week ago bc I thought it would be so easy. I gave up and have been in a headscarf. After this video, I am going to dry again on my own 4c high porosity hair. Thanks 😊
I love your videos. You are very detailed in all that you do. Thanks for educating us and embracing your 4C hair. It's a struggle for me but learning to love it. I'll definitely try this flat twist hair style. ❤
I binging on this channel often especially on wash days (keeps me motivated) and I dont understand how I missed this video! I've been wanting to learn flat twist all the videos I've watched aren't so clear so it's always a fail. I'm sooooo happy I found this video!
I've watched and seen so many tutorials on how to do this and I think you explained it best. Not saying others didn't, it's just that I couldn't grasp their technique. Thank you so much for this video SIS. Now I can rest chile. LOL, YOU ARE APPRECIATED ❤❤❤ I am off tomorrow so I will be washing my hair, deep conditioning, and putting a Clairol Beautiful Collection Midnight Black color on my hair. (NOT IN THAT ORDER LOL) I can't wait. I wish RU-vid had picture-vision.
I have heard a lot about people flat twisting their hair and I wanted to know how, I think I can do it as you gave a great demo. But it's going to have to wait as I had just finished two strand twist. ♡♡♡♡. I might as well subscribe.
Please do more styles like this. I'm trying to use quarantine as a time to leave my hair alone. I dont want to waste money on extension protective styles that no one sees. But when I go to the grocery store, I dont wanna look like ms ciely from the color purple
I struggle with picking up hair, if that's the right word to use. But I'm not where I used to be, I'm better and will be alot better with practice. Thanks Jenn, I relate more with your videos, they give me morale to keep going. 4c hair is #manageable!❤
I like the way you did your here it took me a long time to cornrow I learn how to cornrow a year ago now I can do any pattern now rattail comb is better to part with I learn from you and other thank you again be safe
I am going to attempt this soon...even though I can't flat twist to save my life. Lol! But I want to learn it bad enough, so I shall succeed...Thank you. Your hair is beautiful💜 I am glad you reviewed the rat tail comb...I thought that I needed something better, so I will stick to my plastic one.
Love your videos!!! Thanks for the inspiration! Looking forward to styling my hair this way! I've been doing a lot of flat twist/ cornrow styles because I want get up and go hair and I'm trying to keep my hair stretched for length retention.
Great video and tutorial Jenn! I think this will be really helpful for someone who doesn’t know how to do it! Loved the angle changes for a different view!
I think that flat twist look more sophisticated than corn rows. I find that Kinky Curly Curling Custard does not dry my hair out as much as other gels.
