How to style natural hair when you are in a rush | SHORT 4C Hair

Hey hey hey!
I hope you guys are all doing well! Today I am showing you a quick way to style your natural hair, if you are pressed for time. We all know that natural hair styles can take a long time to set so this is a way around that. Oh yeah, if my hair seems shorter, well that is because this video is nearly a YEAR old! It’s so interesting going back and see the progress of my hair. It is actually much longer now, and I never realize how much it grows - with shrinkage and all!
You don’t need to use a hooded dryer, you can let your hair dry for longer or use a blow dryer!

Pleeeeeease do a flat twist video. I have attempted to flat twist and I think I just need to keep doing them until I get better. I kinda got it but would love to see how you do it. I absolutely love how this style turned out. I know it’s just not the flat twist, but your ends have to be right and your hair has to be fairly clean or should I say you can’t have product buildup all on your strands for a bomb twist out..........like yours!!!! Thanks for sharing, it’s super cute!

It's easier to hide "messy" parts, that's why I do them of purpose for twistouts. Just make sure no hair carries over from one section to another 👌🏾

Jennnn!! I Loved this video!! I was actually looking up" flat twist outs" all weekend!! After watching, I immediately went to flat twist my hair in the exact same style you did here! Lol i Just started learning how to flat twist so they didn't come out as neat as yours but I will keep practicing and it will only get better!!!! RU-vid and I have issues Jenn but I'm still here U look great and I think I've said this already, u rock every hairstyle so well. Whenever I do my hair, it's like a business in the front and party in the back thingi going on on my head 😂. My parts in the back are horrible so I've stopped parting with a comb, I just use my fingers to part anywhere😂😂. Nice video, your input is so obvious 💟💓👑👻

I actually just stuffed my hair in a bonnet and went to bed! I liked when it got less defined but you can always use a gel and retwist after a few days.

Hi Jenny, how often do you trim or snip your hair? Recently, I had been experiencing alot of single strand knots especially at my tips which resulted to alot of breakage...I was stressed bcz I had been doing my routine right and using good products. On researching I discovered I needed to trim and I have seen a difference. My hair is 1 year old. Please do a video on trimming.

OMG!!! we have the same hair type... Subscribed! I got a lot of questions?? I cannot wear my 4c hair down. No matter how many ways I try.... I can do my hair like this, I can't pick it or touch it because it immediately losses its curl. If I do make it out the house it will be an compact afro in less than an hour before I even make it to my destination.. help me... The video title clearly says “when your in a rush” and I wasn’t expecting flat twists and twist outs. I was hoping you would moisturize your hair first by misting it or spritzing with lukewarm water then apply styling cream or gel by ‘crunching’ your hands in your hair while avoiding the scalp and just fluff it out with your fingers for at least 5 to 10 minutes on the rest of your head. For these rushed styles I was also hoping the time would last for 20 or 30 minutes, but if the rush involves getting ready for a night out or a job interview then waking up very early is recommended and also having a good night sleep (as in go to bed early).

Wonder if you can help please, I’ve attempted twists out and each time my hair at the ends is soo frizzy/undefined no matter if I take them out form the ends to root or even if I moisturise? ALL of my hair will have the curl definition but the ENDS will not and it just doesn’t look right 🥺

Sounds like you may need a trim. Or try using rollers on the ends of the twists to help curl them.

Use the green house effect Basically put water and oil on your hair ( in a spray bottle) and maybe even leave in conditioner And after doing that you put on a plastic bag and go to sleep and when you wake up you will notice that your hair is moist Ingredients Water Leave in conditioner Oil Shower cap or plastic bag Silk bonnet or scarf or whatever

Idk if my hair texture is the same as yours. No matter what I do, I can not separate my hair when doing twist outs or braid outs. It gets frizzy very quickly

Same here! This is why I have to be VERY careful when separating and always start from the ends. I personally kinda separate where my hair "wants" to be separated. I don't force it. With flat twists, thats not a problem because the hair is already "separated" when you take down the flat twists x
