Wow the pain topic was amazing and better than any therapist session!! The pains and rejections have been brutal but the wins so sweet. Your video is super helpful to stay motivated and keep pushing and remember the rejection is not about me. I'm new in sales and have actually been rocking it in my first month at my B2B saas company and honestly thanks to you!! I watched your video to prep for my interview and now to close deals! It would be amazing to see a video covering when and how to go back to a prospect when they are interested but said no and you know you messed up your pitch. Can we go back and try again or should we give up?
I’m new to commissions as a sales rep. This is a totally new world to me. I’d like to learn how to do a follow-up call, especially if I called and left a couple messages. What should I say if they pick up after the third call. I work at a sewing shop and I get commission on any sewing machine I sell. I’m still learning about the machines and do demos once I learn them. It’s hard for me to close a deal with the larger machines worth $20K+, I’m not too familiar with them and though I am doing research, I worry about losing the sale. I try to get reach that “pain” point when talking to the customers, but that’s hard for me because I don’t like asking personal questions. It’s uncomfortable for me. I feel intrusive. And I really don’t know what to say if the customer mentions a pain point. I just stay quiet. It’s awkward. But I really want to break through that so that I can make the sale without being pushy or uncaring.
You have to be an expert on both the product and the prospect so that you can have an intelligent conversation where both of you are engaged. A two way conversation. Your preparation has to be of the highest quality.
Prepare by Learning your products. Learn the customer’s needs. Sell the need. End of the say, Companies want solutions to their problems. The extras take care of themselves. I do presentations with hundreds of people at a time now without breaking a sweat.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! This is my first day as an account manager and everything was going so well until this one phone call and all the confidence I had shot out the window. I really needed this today
very helpful tips, just a small remark tho I prefer it more when there is no music on the background except for the intro it helps focus more on whats ur saying !
Hey Patrick, I have just started working in a Business Development profile which is completely new to me. I was given a link to few of your videos by one of my colleague who found them helpful too. I won't shy away from saying that the content has really helped me to understand things from a base level which I believe is very important when you start something new. Thank you for your role in my journey of learning this.
This is very helpful information. I am a call center traineer and use alot of you ideas and tactics to teach people that are new to the call center or phone industry how to handle calls and be CONFIDENT. Thanks for all you do
Thanks for the videos Patrick! This one on confidence really resonated with me. Planning/preparation cannot be overstated for shaking that fear before meetings, this video was a good reminder of that. I'm working on your Business Development & B2B Sales course on Udemy, the info has been helpful and inspirational.
Thanks a lot Patrick, again an amazing video ! Personally I'd love to hear your tips on lead generation and also on finding the pain points prospects are having.
I take inbound cross selling calls and do not typically make contact with a customer multiple times. I have a tendency to spend too much time with someone either establishing the trust or trying to uncover a need ... when do I move on and do you have any cross selling experience
