I'll be interviewing someone soon who used this exact process and just landed a part-time role! It's very doable but takes some patience.

@@SalesforceForEveryone I guess I found you through one of the your post on a Facebook group I follow. I think your content is amazing and quite up-to-date with respect to the challenges a Salesforce beginner faces initially. It would be great if you could make some content on 1. What map a developer/ admin needs to follow while diving into Salesforce market. 2. Salesforce CV tips. Thanks, All the best!!

I worked in sales 9 years. Excellent advice. fail 12 times I bet you get one to consider it seriously. Don't give up after the first rejection.

Yes that's exactly right! Some companies will be confused or simply not interested but once you get in front of the right person it's a clear win win!

I know this is an old video, but I thought that I'd mention: you're also saving the company money since they don't need to pay for your benefits. Benefits are often a huge part of total compensation.

Yeah 100% we see it around 30% of total comp. So if you're seeing a 100k salary it's probably around $30k in annual benefits on top!

What's the path to becoming a consultant?
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 4 года назад
To become a consultant for a consulting firm, all you really have to do is apply and be qualified. Being qualified usually means you have two to four certifications and two to three years of experience. If you are talking about becoming an independent consultant, getting your own clients and working for yourself, that is a considerably more complex process and we will continue to release videos about how to start your own company and garner your own contracts.

Thanks for your reply. Are there specific certifications for this?
@SalesforceForEveryone
@SalesforceForEveryone 4 года назад
Yes typically consulting companies like to see Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Consultant certifications in addition to the Admin certification. Any additional certifications are a plus. Many times consulting firms are looking for a specific subject expert like CPQ, Marketing Cloud or Non Profit. So those certifications can be a major perk for the right company.

Is there any geographical limitation for getting part time job in the US market for an international consultant? Also what is the chances of getting part time job if I already have full time job?
