One thing I’ve implemented for my habits is the two day rule: it means that you can miss a day of your habit, just not two days in a row! It takes the pressure away of having to do the habit everyday but still keeps you doing the habit frequently enough that it will start to stick! It has really helped me stick with stuff
switching to integrating new habits one at a time or just even starting with getting back into habits one at a time has been so helpful for my mental health!!
Aw Reese. I’ve been watching you since I was (/we were lol) literally 15 or 16. I’m 23 now too, and I always find my way back to your channel. It’s such a comfort place for me, always feels like an update from an old friend. Thank you for taking the time to share these moments, and the energy that goes into all of it. I’m proud of you for doing the things, and for all the work and love you put into yourself, seen and unseen. You’re doing great. 💛
My favOURITE thing in this video is just watching your pets try their best to de-rail your yoga session. They love you SO much and it was so so cute to watch you all together :)
i’ve been going through a pretty bad slump too myself, this video motivated me to get my life together too! you’re so inspirational reese! i haven’t ever been this early on your channel (4 mins) 💓💓
One habit I'm trying to work on is not worrying too much about the tiniest thing that might happen, staying positive and calm, and pausing before saying or doing anything. Especially during Mental Health awareness month
Positive affirmations have been super helpful for me. I was thinking about making a voice memo reading them each two times and listening to it when I’m practicing mindfulness. I struggle with sitting in complete silence so I think this might help
Hi Reese! So, I have been doing yoga, meditation, and journaling almost daily for the past year, and you were my biggest inspiration for starting this journey! As you're getting back into YMJ, I wanted to give you a tip that has helped me hugely. I'm also a perfectionist, and the stress of "missing a day" can really get to me. Something that helps me is to really lower my expectations of what YMJ needs to look like. Some days it's 30 minute of yoga, 10 minutes of meditation, and 5 pages of journaling. But on many, many days it's 5 minutes of gentle stretching in the bed, a 3 minute timer for meditation, and writing a couple sentences. Realizing that I could do a modified version of these habits really made them more accessible and less intimidating for me. I hope that might help you :-) and THANK YOU for inspiring me to get into these activities in the first place. They have totally changed my life, and I am so grateful that I watched your vlogs last summer and was inspired to do them. Also - I've learned to build YMJ into the other activities I'm doing. So if I don't want to leave bed, then I do gentle stretching IN BED. I've even done "bath yoga," lol. And sometimes I just do a quick walking meditation while I'm taking my dog out.
I'm also so tired, and about to hopefully get up and do something. This vlog is the small I needed to actually get up! ❤ Miso is getting so fluffy! 😻 Can we please have a healed tattoo update?
Wait hold UP I was just thinking about how I would love a new uphold from Reese and then I checked my sub box and here it is??? Is manifestation real???😅😅😅
Okay but I was so excited when I saw this video was coming out today. ❤ I've been doing a habit challenge at work and this was a good reminder to not be so hard on myself. Like you said, doing one thing is better than nothing.
I love when you talk during yoga. I am currently still watching and I am also doing some yoga with you. Thank you for motivating me :) I will definitely take your advice while working on my healthy habits 💘🥺
I love you but i feel like your videos are really repetitive at this point, maybe you could switch it up with sit down videos or storytimes or challenges (i tried doing _____ for x amount of days)
i feel the same but every time i make something other than a vlog it just flops :-/ everyone only ever requests vlogs and if i’m going to put effort into a different style i’d like them to watch it. however i’ll try to mix some in
Sorry if this triggers anyone, but these are the habits I'm working on right now: -working out every day (to build a habit because doing it some days of the week doesn't work) -drinking more water (trying to finish a plastic bottle per day, it's something OK!) -brush my teeth and wash face every morning and night (easy) -stop eating so much junk (trying, but making it happen)
gurl those onions are not 'small pieces' hahaha my childhood/teenage years flashed before my eyese where grown-ups would yell at me to slice things thinner
One habit I’m working on is planning gym time and if I can’t get gym time then I rely on running for two miles everyday the time I get home I’m exhausted and wanna go to sleep 😴
Love this vlog, Reese! I also have some joint pain, and I've found that going to a chiropractor has been really helpful. I recommend looking into it. Specifically, someone who is really good at using their hands to manipulate the body. Instead of, relying heavily on tools. The chiropractor and therapy have been the two main things that I've been trying to be consistent with this year, and both have improved my mental/physical well-being.
Hi Reese! Just something that came to mind: when you take the iron supplement its probably not a good idea to take it with the matcha as green tea inhibits the absorption of iron! At least that‘s what I read
That bit when you went “I shaved today but I missed a patch” and then continued on what you were saying before, idk why but I just found it hilarious 😂 it was just the way u said it 😂
Thankful for this video cause I’m also trying to take care of me back after many months of putting my life on hold. The good habit I’m trying to implement back is writing to do list everyday so that my life is a little bit organize🤝
omg this literally came at the best time. ive been in finals for the past month or so and all my self care has flown out the window. finally i was done friday so i really needed this 😭
dear reese, i absolutely loved this concept. so chilled and authentic and it truly felt like hanging out with a bestie! going through something very similar personally and i promise we’ve got this. so proud of you!!! 🤎
