Frankly speaking, I have not test ride-d the nexon so I won’t be able to judge which is the better of the two.. I can say that XUV 300 is worth the price it is selling.. For your question, you can test drive nexon and take a decision yourself🙂

Hello, i hve W6 variant of xuv300 from last year. Since then i was little worried abt its milage. It was not beyond 12-13km/l. But i have tried your method while driving; results are really very good. now i can see the avg milage abt 18-20 in mumbai which not bad at all. Thank you for this. Mine is diesel model.yes I'll definitely get the actual mileage by tank. But as per my previous experience the difference is hardly of 1 to 1.5 km/l.. And yes also followed rest of ur suggestions 😉

Mine is w4 xuv300 petrol manual iam getting 11.8/kmpl. Very useful information you have shared I will try your method upshifting exactly at 1500 rpm and down shifting at below 1000 rpm. Result I will leave a comment after trying your method so that it will be useful for petrol manual owners.

ashwin antony Sure bro.. Will do.. by the way those are DRL’s (Daytime Running Lamps) which come on automatically even if the ignition mode is off. Only way to turn LED off is to completely turn off the vehicle.. You can expect the video soon regarding the infotainment systems🙂
I appreciate this video. I have seen myself extract additional mileage after watching your video and following your tips. I own a XUV 300 diesel currently getting 17-18 kmpl on city. Do you think mileage would increase slightly after 10k Kilometres?
AMT is totally different from pure automatic, in the sense it only uses the torque to shift between gears and is a bit jerky compared to pure manual. All boils down to you brother, if you want instant pickup at your disposal, manual is the way to go or if you are irritated about changing gears in traffic, then you can go with AMT. This video is actually meant for pure manual, but no harm in trying this in manual mode in AMT. Quite interesting actually, if you can, try in manual mode in AMT with the steps i showed and let me know youf mileage results🙂
Hi sir, frankly speaking, I do not have idea of the AMT version. but what you can do is, you can check when the AMT upshifts from the tachometer. So that can give you a rough idea. And you can also check and post your AFE in comments so everyone can know :)
U r ight & bang on wrt the rpm & should not follow the gear shift..it does give good mileage..but just worried about the engine performance if it goes like this for long..

Second hand diesel cars depend on various factors like condition of car, manufactured year, whether seller is genuine or trying to hide certain things like flood affected etc.. not but not the least, the budget and features you expect in a second hand car. If you can start from a point, then I can guide you further

Hi bro, recently i have purchased xuv300 w4 petrol variant, I'm trying the same how you mentioned but milage average is 9.5 , i will drive max city sometimes will go to Highway, My query is for petrol non tgdi variant do i have to follow the same method or you have made any video for that? Follow as per the video.. what matters is how gradually you raise the rpm.. when you touch 80+ on highways, rpm automatically touches 2k plus.. its designed to be like that and thats ok.. but what matters is how gradual and gentle you are with the accel as shown in video.. do try and let know if any improve you see after following with this video
If you drive regularly 50-100 km per day per week, then I would suggest you go for diesel . or else if it is once in a while if you travel 50-100 km per week, not regularly, then i would suggest go for petrol as the extra price you pay for the difference between petrol and diesel is not worth the maintenance cost after purchase and the cost difference between petrol and diesel

Hi sir, good question.. it is you who have to decide sir.. because first it depends whether to opt for petrol or diesel due to distance travelled per week.. read in comments for clarity.. and regarding drive and maintenance.. Drive, Handling is excellent and maintenance does not cost that much compared to competition like days or kms, whichever comes first.. Simple. Excepting first service, service once in only 10k kms without limitation of number of days. Service cost is around 1500-2000 and the cost can also be seen anytime before service with ‘With You Hamesha’ app available both on App Store and Play Store.

I would still not suggest sonet because of two things.. One both Mahindra and Tata are Indian Manufacturers, so if we buy them, we will directly help our nation’s economy. For sonet, I would avoid it because of two reasons. First, Kia is new in market, second Sonet is not crash tested

Hariharan R, if only weekend purposes is your main motive, then you can go for petrol model. And even i could see many have reported getting 16-17 with petrol model of XUV300 in the comments below. If you follow as per the video, you are sure to get much improvement in your mileage figures. Please like if you found the video useful. Because only if you are going to use occasionally like, say on weekends, then it doesn’t make sense to invest in extra 1.5 lakhs in comparison with diesel model. Even the turbocharged 1.2 Litre engine is powerful enough with its competitors and can give very good fight🙂

Marginally it does.. but the increase is negligible.. it all depends on how you set the engine for the 1st 1000 kms.. Try changing your method of driving as per the video and update me in comments..Also, take a look at your ecosense.. It will tell you a lot about your driving habits.. Have driven about 260km on xuv 300 AMT Petrol. The avg fuel economy number is stuck at 10.00. The bar moves back and forth but the number does not change. Is it normal?
As in the trip meter? I reset A after every fuel ddd and B for trips. The AFE is getting updated now, but very slow. No where like how video is increasing or reducing. Getting 10.5 in city
@@zohebthambi on city commutes there won't be a sudden change in the display of AFE. But if you try seeing that while highway drive, the change happens every 3 to 5mins roughly
NABENDU MUKHERJEE The off road performance is very good.. To be frank not something that you can expect from a pure off roader car but this can be at par with those a notch above.. Deals with huge bumps and bad roads pretty well depending on the steering mode selected (w8)

Raja Sahoo speed doesnt matter.. but make sure you shift and deshift in the manner i said.. for best performance vs mileage maintain a max of 80- 100kmph.. but even then each gear upshift should be exactly as per the process shown in the video.. going at 100 kmph is not that big deal.. but the shifting process and reaching 100 kmph makes all the difference.. also deshift as per the video 🙂
Raja Sahoo That is correct 🙂 exact point of up and downshifts.. try following this pattern and let me know any changes in mileage of your XUV.. also be very gentle with accel in going upto 1500 rpm for each gear.. should be almost like a feather touch of your feet

Marun suresh You will need to test it out yourself.. but I am sure If you cross 100 kph mileage starts reducing considerably.. normally by my method if you can get around 18 kmpl on highway, if you drive at 120kph i think you might get 15-16, its my thought. but for sure results you need to check it out yourself
sdmh indian bro 6th gear. normally used only for cruising speed on highway and when cruise control is to be used.. i was driving within city limits so didnt have the need to shift to 6th gear 🙂
You can.. But recommended not to as the quality of color and material of the original seat will start to fade out as time goes by.. I can give you a suggestion.. Purchase 3M or Armor all leather seat and conditioner from Amazon or Flipkart and once a week, after removing dust from your seats, pour a little quantity of the conditioner on to a clean microfiber cloth, then apply it on to the seat(not directly). Repeat the process for all seats once a week or 2 weeks once and allow to air dry the seats. If possible, park it under shade and try to avoid sunlight
Bro, that minor vibration is because of that canera shake due to the vehicle passing over tiny speed breakers. But as you can see, the vehicle is rock stable🙂

I have bought xuv 300 w4 diesel on 30th june 2020 , the vehicle is in run in period I want to ask that once I had forgot to release handbrake and drive around 3 kilometers smoke comes from bonnet should it any bad effect ?
Bro u are killing your car your cars is shaking saying to you for more throttle. If you drive till 80 nicely give throttle when need you will get the good mileage. Just to get the highest mileage don't do that.you have plenty of space to move. I don't want to know the highest mileage drive it like you should
My father has baleno as well.. the main motive of this video was to take up a challenge on how much a car as powerful as this can be as frugal with respect to mileage.. and with regards to handling.. i love the way XUV300 handles better than baleno and personally I hate baleno because of its tin can build

I believe mileage of car depends on your driving skill, if you have good tuning with gear shifting, then no matter whether it is 1st service 2nd and so on, ✌

All vehicles give good mileage if with proper gear shifting and correct acceleration, i agree, but this video is specifically made for #XUV300 to let other XUV300 owners know at which point exactly to upshift and where exactly to downshift in order to get the perfect mileage for this specific car.
