Ok i finally got it. Your video is the 5th one i watched today. And i was able to really get the drift of it. And i live in NYC too. Im in BK. I have one those Amazon 4 screen 1 planton press and never used it finally got it put together the right way. Just didn't know how to setup the screens on the press. Cant wait till this weekend so i can try out my 3 years old press. Thank You for the video. It was the best one .
Another great video! I use a little more off contact then you. 1/8 - 3/16. I use a piece of coroplast for level then raise a hair. 2 quarters taped to the bottom front to keep the off contact consistent. :)
Question: when placing your cardboard spacer on the pallet. do you let it (cardboard) reach beyond to point of the screen where it is reaching under the brackets that holds the screen in place? Or does the spacer board just lay under the screen only. Nice vid. Thanks!
Thank you very much for the great video. So I'm having trouble screen printing my size tag on a Tri blend next level t-shirt. The ink goes thru the shirt. Is it my pressure or ink?
Gracias por ver el video. Debes registrar el negocio porque la mayoria de los sitios usan tan solo negocios registrados. Te piden el W-9. Estar registrada te abre las puertas de mas clientes. Si no te as subscrito, subscribete. Gracias
Question: If you have to stop a job and continue the next day or even two days later do you leave your screens flooded or do you clear the screen or ???
Great question! When it comes to plastisol I clear the screen. I don't know when it comes to waterbased ink. I think they leave it flooded but with plastisol I just clear the ink off the stencil. I will mention that in one of the videos because that's very important info. Thanks.
@@tainoink Thanks for the quick answer.... I am retired and screen print mostly for fun but want to make a few dollars also. I have subscribed to the youtube channels of many other screen printers but I would rate your videos very high because you keep them short and to the point. Good luck on getting to 1000 subscribers. I watched your video on how much to charge and I understand there are many conditions that could effect the price but I'm wondering what you charge for a 4 color one sided black T-shirt print. I have someone who wants a price on doing such a job. My overhead is low because I am printing out of a building on my property but even so I don't want to be too cheap. The thing I have learned about manual screen printing is that it is a lot more physical work than most people understand.
For 20 shirts $338. $16.90 pet shirt. For 200 shirts 1,712. $8.50 per shirt. The other thing I do is I go to Custom Ink and qet the quote from them and adjust the price a bit less than them. Usually that's where clients go to find out the price then they call us to see if our prices are less than theirs.
