@Trantor The Troll I had issues printing the file out of Photon Validator, but using it to find them and fixing them in CHITUBOX, and printing the file from there has worked fine for me on the MARS

Just got my resin printer, but have been fretting about those f*****g supports - this tutorial has been a godsend. On my third print so far with less than 30 minutes prep for those supports, and no printer errors (yet). Absolutely subbed.

This video is fantastic! Just took my printer out of the box 2 days ago. The one thing I knew would give me fits are the islands. I have the Creality LD-002R so it took a little bit of figuring out but I got it to work. I'd much rather have too many supports than have a print fail. Perfect for a noob. 👍🏼❤️

My chitubox 1.7 dont have the option to save the sliced fil to cbddip, what do i need to do. :D i have Anycubic Photon S resin printer, and mine is saving the files like this : _PIEZA-MODIFICADA-II.photons so somthing here is wrong,

Good video. Yes this tool really is a necessity. One point though: you didn't have to save and then reload after the first round of the "fix" feature though. Just go directly to the arrow buttons and it will take you to the remaining larger "unfixed" islands.

Very good vid, I just re-setup my Photon with an air handler system so I can now use it in my small apartment and not deal with the smell and feel like I am cutting onions. I did a print last night of a dragon that I set up months ago that I may have overdone it on the supports. I will go back and redo it with what you have shown here and see how well I did v using the software. Oh, and the air handler worked like a fracking charm.

I spent hours and hours in Chitubox this very evening! Edit: Ha! I run all my photon files through the validator after slicing. It's really great for getting any missed islands. GMTA!

@@nathancarbo there were some problems with chitubox in previous versions if I recall. The newer versions are supposed to have fixed them. I've been lucky and not had any issues like you describe. There's a great community on Facebook for the anycubic photon that may be of help to you.

Use PrisaSlicer in SLA mode, Auto support, export the model with supports to STL, load into ChituBox, and print, done. way faster, way easier, haven't had a failure yet that wasn't related to exposure, or bed leveling.

Great tip!!! Been using the Photon File Validator for a while now and didn't even think of using the unfixed layers numbers and fixing them in Chitubox. (Also why didn't you post the video a day early so a wizard mini I printed would of had a quarter staff and not the 1/8th staff it has now :).

(1) On your first load filename.cbddlp file to Photon File Validator (PFV) have 91 islands; current file on Chitubox have 91 islands - verified using PFV. (2) 2nd load of filename-1.cbddlp to PFV have 56 islands; current file on Chitubox is STILL 91 islands since you didn't touch it. Then you went back to Chitubox @9:20 and started to fix all 56 islands one slice at a time. If you only fixed 56 islands in Chitubox, whatever happened to the 35 islands that you 'fixed' inside PFV, but not in Chitubox? Are those islands not important?
