Thanks, this just happened to me as I drive up to smog check😅.. made my wj stumble and check engine light came on and now has miss fire cylinder 2. Crazy how it just broke as I’m trying to smog it. I couldn’t find anything online but ran into your educational video 🙌.. thanks for posting.
Just bought a used Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 a week ago. Oil level on the dipstick was normal when I bought it. In the week I've had it, I'm smelling burnt oil and getting a few drops on the concrete at the back of the engine. Didn't think much of it until I changed the oil yesterday when putting the drained oil in the container I alarmingly saw it was only 2.5 quarts. There are a lot of forums stating these engines use a lot of oil. Mine doesn't smoke so no valve seal problems yet maybe. This makes a lot of sense to why maybe mine is using oil. Great video and info, thanks for sharing.
I have a Jeep 4.7 that has one of these broken off on the other one on the driver side. Thank you so f-ing much for this. You are an absolute God send.
I just ran into this problem, I don't know what engineer decided to make the inside of that fit an Allen socket but they need a raise... unless they are the same one that stuck a sparkplug under the oil tube...
I'm watching your video. BTW, good one. You replace the plastic crankcase breathers with metal nipple. I have a 02 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 SLT that has metal nipples instead of plastic crankcase breathers as specified in owner's manual. My question is are they the same?
Hey can you do a video on replacing the breather hose for a 02-04 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7L V8 The part number is: 94364GB I can't find videos on it anywhere. I can't see the two back side connectors the rubber hose elbows connect to. I'm afraid they are plastic connectors and ill brake them when installing new one. If you can tell me what material the connectors are and if i can just use a box cutter to cut the rubber hoses off and replace with a new Mopar 94364GB breather hose assembly.
Very nice. Nice job, I've got a major steering problem on my 92 xj sport 2 door 5 speed. A Hyundai car tried to t bone the jeep, but mean green ended up eating the Hyundai for lunch, towed it away while the jeep drives away but with loose pitman arm now, possible bent control arm and gear box issues. Any thoughts on a cheap easy way to tear down the steering system?
