I've been on my back for 2 days now. Tried getting up per your video twice now. The pain is just really intense when I am on my feet. I'm taking a steroid and a muscle relaxers. Should I just get up a grunt my way through the pain?
I literally watched this lying on my side frightened of the coming pain. The first method help enormously, it was not pleasant, but quick and such a relief to sit upright. Thank you
@@RealTalkVMC I've recovered enough to be mobile, but am doing daily stretches and strengthening routines. I had to use the method in this video for about a week, nervous of pulling same parts of back that left me imobile
Tried the 1st version but cannot get off the bed to stand. Excrutiating pain. So now i slide on my stomach off bed onto knees & get up that way, like a todler gets off a sofa. Cant put weight on bad foot! 😢
I’m literally suffering with what you described , bulged “/ slipped l4/l5 l5/s1 , the morning is horrendous, I can’t stand up straight I can barely walk, my gp is no help my painkillers don’t help I need help and advice
Check out my latest video on McKenzie exercises for lower back pain and sciatica. This may help you out or get a formal physical therapy evaluation. Good luck and tell us how you do
So I have suffered of this for 5 years. I have to take a hot shower as soon as I wake up or I cant move around. Try that. Also make sure you always have foot support. Dont walk barefoot. I have indoor sneakers and crocs. And dont sleep on your belly. But do what works for you. Everyone is different
I tried both ways, I feel less pain getting up when laying on my stomach. But when I push up and try to stand I get a sereve pain and want to lay back down because I think something going to pop out of place.
Did you ever try doing a few prone pressups prior to getting out of bed? Sometimes just getting a little range of motion before using this technique helps.
@@apexmovebetter when laying on my stomach and I try to arch up there's pain so I try to get out of bed like a long and push up but like I said earlier the pain. I'm a truck driver and this happens when I bend or sit down a certain way
Worst pain ever. Just feels like having a knife, cut in half, something going to pop, getting up feels risky but going back the position i was also feels risky, constant short of breath by fear and preparing for pain to hit
Worse pain EVER I had sciatica for 2 month and it seems to get worse every day goes by I cant get nothing done without having to lay on the floor every few minutes I tried pushing my way through and do as much as I can put the more I do the worse it gets I dont know what to do anymore steriod treatment dont work pain medication dont work I feel lost please I tried everything
This is one video I hear people with the same issues that I have. The only release I get in the morning is I turn on my stomach before even trying to get out of bed. The down side is I hope I don't have to pee when I wake up. While I'm on my stomach I do the cobra(RU-vid video for the cobra movement). movement for a while. I stay in that position until my leg is with less pain. I wrap the leg that has the needle pain going down the leg tight but not too tight with an ace bandage and it helps, sometimes I keep it on even at work I have two walking canes that I walk around my house for a few minutes to wake up that muscle. I hope this helps. 🙏♥️
My biggest pain comes when I finally stand up and stand on "that leg". My guess is that my disc is damaged on left side since that leg gets sciatica and all of the pain.
I’m having sciatica for the 2nd time. I used the second method before but this time around, it hurts more after I pivot my hips to the side. Going from sleeping on my side to being on my stomach is the toughest part of it. But trying to relax my muscles while I do it helps. Thanks for this video!
