I almost walked away from the 2022 1320 I just got, even after driving 4 hours to the dealer where it was at because the tried to go back on the price we had agreed on for my RT/10 VIPER. They were trying to take $5000 off the off for my car after their "guy" checked it out. I said no to that then they came back saying they would go 2500 off I said no give me my keys so I could reload my car an start heading home. They finally caved I got the value for mine I wanted an the payments I wanted. I guess the didn't actually think I would walk out after driving that far.
Found a nice scat pack widebody swinger in f8 green. Wanted to trade my truck in for it. The sticker is $65,885 for the scat pack, and they offered to pay my truck balance off (40,500) as a trade allowance, but due to the ridiculous markup(15k over sticker), I declined. They are trying to get me to finance $88,139 for it, and even with a great interest rate, it dosen’t make sense to me to pay over 90k for a scat pack
Thanks brad. For me I’m inquiring now with car buyer USA and the figures I’m getting is awful. A dealership in the state of KY will give me more for my 3500 mile narrow Challenger scat. In my opinion it’s based on the car industry at the time as to how much they will give you for a vehicle. If your interested in getting a new car there’s a CDJR named Dan Cummings in Paris KY with over 105 challengers which of that are approx as of two days ago they have over 30 hellcats 😳. I’m trying for the basic one 73k but I want minimum 50 k for my scat. I owe 40k As of now no dealership wants to trade for it cuz they know I know how to buy a car and there’s no wiggle room for them to make much money from my scat. I think the highest I saw a dealership offering like 53k but it had 1700 miles or so. So we will see. I definitely will have positive EQ on my scat but not as much a year or two ago when I traded in a stinger and another Challenger R/T . So I will wait it out . If it happens it happens ! Some good solid advice...I feel if I did a trade-in...I'd rather deal with a reputable dealer or as you mentioned, thru Car Buyer USA for example, instead of posting it on auto trader or craiglist or ebay motors, etc and having some strangers showing up at your home for a test drive...for heard too many stories with scammers out there looking to take advantage or even stealing it.
I wanted to get more for my 2017 RT by selling it myself. But, my dad said someone might try to kill me and take it. So, I just traded it in. Still got 22k's for it.
Years ago I was selling my sisters used T-Bird, as her husband had past away and I was doing her a favor. Two guys answered her ad and we went out for a test drive...one drove, the other sat in back...but let me tell you I had a nervous feeling about it all and was expecting a bullet in the back of my head...never again I said...they passed on the car and she ended up trading it in for a newer T-Bird.
I went to see what my trade in was worth and was offered 65k for a 21 level 2 trx with 30k miles, when they had a level one with same miles going for 82k lmao. These dealers are getting ridiculous
I agree on everything except that you got the NEW loan with no indication to your bank that the OLD loan would be deleted off of your credit profile. Which made you NEW loan more expensive.
No it did not. You have to know I addressed that with them and they assured me that the rate was the same since my debt to income ratios were well within parameters to the extent that I could easily qualify for their maximum of $500,000 in auto loans if needed and I was no where near that with all of my cars. My rate was the same either way. You’re may not be so yes, you should ask that question. With that said, you can always refinance with Navy Fed and they even give you additional perks when you do along with a toaster or a teddy bear. 😂

I'm upset my RT is worth 30,000$ on caravan but it's a lease and my lease is locked so I have to buy it. And once I buy it and pay tax im on it for 24,000$.. I'm wondering if I keep it longer if the value will go up
Tells everybody not to buy them, then buys one after developing a relationship with a dealer lol ( probably pre existing ). Then wants to tell us to only deal with dealerships like his good friends.
