Hello guys my name is Ben and these are bad bikes and today I am going to show you how to get the most out of your old gopro, you know the ones with no image stabilization whatsoever. Old GoPros can be big bummers but you know what's even worse is not having a gopro at all. Now just a little side note when I say gopro, I just mean eny old action camera. So today i'm going to cover what you can do with your old gopro then how to get the most out of it and lastly what you shouldn't do with it.
Some old gopros have some of the best audio that I know of so you could use it as a microphone. In fact I'm using it right now to record this video. You can also use your Gopro for a time lapse. This is cool but I don't use it all that much because there is no need for it. Your old GoPro can also be used as a super durable camera that you don't really care about at all. I don't suggest this one but it is an option. Lastly you can sell your old GoPro and make some money to buy a better one.
Now how to make your GoPros footage look the best. Find out if there are any new updates for you GoPro this could make it better but most of the time it doesn’t all that much. use the right settings for the right time for example 1080 P superview at 50 frames per second and when its on a tripod use 2.7 K. at 25 frames per second on wide this might sound a little confusing but you'll get the hang of it.
Don't use your old gopro on a chest mount unless it has some sort of image stabilization. If it doesn't then the footage is almost unwatchable. I find the best place to put your old GoPro is on the helmet. Don't use your old GoPro to capture slow motion shots unless it is on a high frame rate. Finally, don't make this your primary camera. My primary camera is an Iphone that I use just for filming. If it is that's ok it's not the end of the world.
