This is so true. My wife has resentment for the things I did and didnt do through our 17 years of marriage. She says she has forgiven me but shows resentment everyday. Divorce has started and she says even though I have been a model dad for 7 months it doesnt make up for 17 years. Lord I need prayed and intervention. I dont want the divorce even though I sent the papers. Prayer warriors help me to see a miracle. Amen
I'm going through a similar situation. My wife made me leave says a divorce is coming. I have been dealing with depression and chronic pain from three back surgeries. I got complacent and just came home locked myself in my room and shut myself off from the world. I will say a prayer for you and yours right now. Dear God please lend your healing hand to this Man and his family. Lord may your guidance and love take over and guide his family to the love they all want. I pray this in Jesus name amen. Hopefully you can say one for me and my family also.
Even though we are a law firm and do divorce, we always speak to our clients (before filing) about the prospect of saving their marriage. I think that you give some very good suggestions and I hope that people can find a way to repair, heal, and to avoid divorce!

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing this info. It's a totally different perspective and one I'll be trying out. Who knows if my relationship is able to be saved but I'll give it my best shot.
Thanks Liam. I think this one has thrown some light on my situation. Everything you said lines up with the way my partner is behaving. I never realized that it could be that she is struggling with forgiveness. She knows I love her and want to make things work. I think it is harder to see what the cause is when it is little subtle things that cause hurt as opposed to one big obvious mistake. She says, I deserve better than her, but she can't or won't give me what I need. I now feel this could be a build up of resentment and inability to forgive. I remain ever hopeful and willing to learn and grow.

What if they say they have forgiven you? So they may have forgiven you but may still not want you back and want to separate and divorce. It’s wonderful the legal firm wants to try to help couples reconcile before filing. The funny part is that he actually did way worse stuff than wot I did to him. But yet he acts like I did way worse things because he’s the one who feels more hurt and heartbroken coz he can’t explain why after he still hurt me so much I still wanted to work at it because any strong woman would have told him I deserve better and that I don’t want him and he should take a walk. But just coz I didn’t tell him that doesn’t mean I don’t feel as hurt or more hurt and more pain - and as opposed to actually acting remorseful he didn’t actually sit and beg for my forgiveness because he didn’t want me back. So he just said sorry for leaving and that’s it - while I kept trying to own wot I did and apologized for my part and said I’m willing to work at things to help him get over his hurt and resentment towards me. But he didn’t want that. He just wants me to accept his decision to leave and that is what he claims will help him get over his resentment towards me. And still till now I’m trying to work at showing him how iv changed but not once is he interested in helping me to deal with the pain he caused to me! Or to show me he’s sorry or remorseful. But I guess once he’s left there is no motivation for him to care anymore. Right now we done so we should act broken up and heal ourselves through our own help or therapeutic process but he doesn’t need to be there for me anymore :(

I understand in really like this video very helpful but would if he already left in i have no way of contacting him in he has not contacted me in a week and a half our daughters birthday is sunday 28th hes done this before in came back but this has been a pattern him leaving because we argued over small things in i take responsibility of my actions because i didn't help by keeping on throwing the bad things hes done in his face in i regret doing that but its very hard to hold back how i feel when i no i should let it go

He says everything is my fault.He says I am negative and all his friends hate me. He doesn' t want to talk or are any of my family. He is constantly on his phone. He is very detached. I am so hurt and he doesn' t act hurt whatsoever. He says everything is in my head .
