Don’t forget to debur the outside of the pipe! I have fixed 3 connections in the last month that were primed and glued but not deburred. If you skip this step you risk scraping all the glue to the inside of the fitting as you connect them. Twisting helps, but always deburr!
Shake the excess primer out of the dobber on the ground then when you prime the pipe coming through the slab you won’t get it running all down your pipe
what is the name of the glue? and other product you used? could i use pipe sealant instead of the two products you just used? thank you, im just trying to fix the broken pipe for the first time...
Primer softens the PVC to create an evenly prepped surface for the glue to set up. You'd be crazy not to use it, i mean whats the extra few seconds per fitting/connection. It sure beats having to go back to a job beacuse one of my pipes came unglued. Can't make money like that.
@@mr.g937well there are pressure tests on RU-vid that show primer for not make any difference. I have read at least one paper that showed how primer actually made the connection slightly worse. In this case, it looks like it’s drain, not pressure pipe?
