Wow! This was super informative and helpful. I wish I had had guidance like this back in 2003 when I was transitioning. Needless to say, my transition was short, lol. But once the permed ends were gone, my hair grew like crazy!

I used aloe vera last weekend on my wash day and I got no breakage. Normally, I'd see little balls of hair when I wash but not that time so it's a keeper!

To go for a trim or not at a salon, that is the question. It depends, you can control how much gets cut off. At the salon they tend to want to go higher and higher if they see a split end.

If you haven't already I think you should cut the damaged ends yourself. I did it for my own semi-big chop about 2 years ago and it was soooo worth it. I watched some natural videos about cutting my hair to prepare, 2 years later and my curls are flourishing!

Aloe Vera is sooooo good. I can't even stress how good this is. If you eat is it has so many benefits. I'm not even over exaggerating at all. Look up on all the benefits. I have a couple in my back yard. And you can tell it's amazing because if you break off a piece one of the tips(which you are not supposed to do you are suppose to break the whole leaf off) it grows back.

I have to agree. We've been using aloe vera in my family for so long for multiple things. It's benefits are endless whether you're consuming it orally or using it on the skin or hair, it's healing powers are truly amazing. Plus it feels extremely good no matter where you apply it on the skin, which is an added bonus😜
