17:12 Some info from a candymaker: Caramellization occurs after a certain point when water has evaporated out from the sugarwater, and which means the sugarwater will be at very high temperatures (something like 170C). No pressure cooker should be used this hot. I have also heard that some people get sugar crystallization, which occurs as the crystal water is cooled down. A simple fix for preventing crystallization is to mix 2 different types of sugars, for example fructose (fruits), glucose (corn syrup / dextrose), sucrose (normal white baking sugar), maltose (beersugar), lactose (milksugar). Mix 1 part of one sugar and 3 parts of another sugar to prevent crystallization.

After seeing your video showing your tilapia farming and our HOA recently making us get rid of our chickens I will be ordering a pond liner like yours to farm tilapia. i remember a good lesson from one of my first jobs when I was a young adult. "work smarter not harder". A lesson Ive kept with me, why work for 20 mins on something a machine could do in 10 seconds.

I’d love to come by sometime and see it for myself. But I’ve only been looking into this since last week. And only as a hobby for now. I've been kibitzing on your channel for the last couple of weeks debating whether growing commercially is what I want to do or not. I've learned a lot and appreciate your candor. The one thing that really struck me as I watched tonight was: You had better take good care of Samantha. That is one hard working young lady. Your reasoning on pinching pennies is sound and makes a lot of sense. I've bootstrapped a couple of companies in startups and know the temptation well. My overly analytical wife and I fought over some of these concepts a number of times. I was not able to articulate my arguments as well as did you, to my sorrow a couple of times. Still in the due-diligence phase at the moment, but I'll probably be in touch for some mentorship in the hopefully near future. Thanks so much for the free mentorship you provide through your channel. I also greatly appreciate the way you credit others for what they are doing and the way you refer your followers to other sources. Too many on RU-vid in various fields try to be a dog in a manger on these things.

One question, what is the length of time between filling your dry mix bags with water and them moving into the steamer? I typically presoak my SBH and sawdust pellets a full 12-24 hrs and I can’t wait to cut out these extra steps. And how much time would you say you spend mixing every individual bag after inoculation?

I am relatively new to growing mushrooms, and you have a lot of great time-saving ideas here. As yet, I haven't looked for soy pellets and have been using wheat bran used for food. On question that I have is that most suggest sterilization of substrate in a pressure cooker. Is this necessary and what would be a good alternative for a home grower?
