In today’s video, Danny covers 2 essential exercises to building a great butt. Try these exercises in your workout and let us know how you like them! Here are some key points/time stamps from the video for you to refer back to:
Barbell Hip Thrust
- Setup 1:45
- Position feet to comfortable preference
- Not too close/away from body
- Point toes slightly outward
- Exercise
- Shoulder blades against the bench
- Squeeze glutes & drive hips up
- Careful not to push hips too far up (hyperextension)
- Ending with vertical shins at the top of exercise
- Keep eyes down to help from hyperextending hips
Barbell Romanian Deadlift
- Setup 3:35
- Align bar on top of shoe laces
- Shins close to bar but not touching
- Exercise
- Lift bar up with a flat back
- Keep shoulders back
- Relax knees slightly
- Slide bar down along the body
- Bar path close to body
- Squeeze glutes as you bring bar back up
