A warning! make sure that there is enough of a gap between the back of the plasterboard and the wall behind. If there is insufficient room the clips will not open. I am now looking for a site to tell me how to fill four half inch holes in the plasterboard.

@blingblingringring Yes, you can use the toggle bolts. I would use two per mirror to help prevent tipping. However, an even better way to hang eight mirrors perfectly level is to use some thing called a French cleat. Go to Amazon and do a search for Hangman Products HM-18D Heavy-Duty Mirror Hanger. This device is strong, easy to use, virtually tip-proof and keeps the mirror close to the wall.

Great video and explanation. However, I'm having difficulty finding hooks like the one shown at 1:15. They're not anywhere near the toggle bolts at the hardware store. Do you know where I can find these?

You need to compensate for the distance between the screw and the bottom of the hook (where the wire will rest). In this example, the mirror will end up approx 1/2" - 5/8" lower than you intended.
Whenever you wire anything, always loop the wire through the mirror hanger (you call them "straps") twice. This is the standard practice for picture framers.

I would advise against it; too heavy. With a 40" tv, you should be able to find two studs using a stud finder. Then screw directly into the wood as opposed to relying on drywall.
your video does not help me! HOW DOES THE BOLT SCREW INTO THE ITEM YOU ARE HANGING WITHOUT LOSING THE TOGGLE? I am hanging a TV swivel hanger for a flat screen TV. The "plate" is secured to the wall using a bolt. The "toggle" does not fit through the hole drilled into the plate.
