In Australia on our old bbq we use wood and smoke to flavour the meat,we salt the iron,then use 2 cans of beer onto the plate after salt dries,wait until fully evaporated,wipe and clean then put olive oil onto plate,the wood smoke unlike gas gives it flavour,we do not pursue restaurant or any other way of cooking,its quick and juicy the meat.
Ice in the middle is Old technique. Usually american and Canadian guys love to put cheese in between the burger patties now.chrck food network, tasty and bon appetit channels. Good 👍
