In this video, I explain How To Hide any Drive And specifically C Drive For all users on the same computer... Sometimes the computer uses more than one person and in order to preserve files and windows we try to hide the partition for more than one reason .
There are many ways to hide drive c But today we will explain How to hide a drive using Group Policy Just follow these steps :
1- Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command.
2- Type mmc OR gpedit.msc and click OK to open the Local Group Policy Editor.
3- If You Type mmc as a video Go To File and Choose Add/Remove Snap ins....
4- Choose Group Policy Object Editor Then Add And Finish
5- Browse the following path:
User Configuration . Administrative Templates . Windows Components . File Explorer
Or as the video is easier
6- Double-click the Hide these specified drives in My Computer policy.
7- Select the Enabled option. Under "Options," select the drive combinations you want or select the Restrict C Drive Only option from the drop-down menu Then Click Apply and
Click OK.
----- It's still a good option if you're only trying to prevent users from messing around with files inside the C: drive.
If you want to undo this, follow the same steps and cancel the option you chose
