In this video, I talk you through the main things that you should note when planning to hint to your parents that you are transgender. Hinting is the process of trying to work out how someone feels about the LGBTQ+ community and not an actual method of coming out.
I share with you some examples which have been tried and tested, by many of my old pals and even some that I used myself! I really hope this video helps someone! :D

I know my mom is okay with LGBTQ+ and she supports it so much! I have a trans friend and most friends part of LGBTQ+ community but, the problem is my mom thinks being anything like that before being a adult is silly. So here’s twelve year old trans guy waiting to turn 18. I knew when I was seven...can’t wait until I’m 18.

Im not sure how my mom will feel when I come out. It probably won’t be anytime soon, but I think she’ll at least be a bit accepting. When I was like seven, I thought I was bi. I told my brother that I like girls and not to tell my mom. He went ahead and told her anyways. She talked to me and I had to lie and say I meant it as a friend. I dont remember much of what she said, but I remember her saying that she would support me if I was apart of the community, but that others might not. Shes made many transphobic (specifically to trans women) remarks, especially recently, though. Im hoping that she lives up to the “I would always accept my child” rule that she put down.

i kinda hinted to my dad that im ftm when he was driving me to pt, he never respects my half brother's (ftm) pronouns and always misgenders him, i told him that its really messed up and he shouldn't do that to my brother but i don't know...

It's quite funny how my parentd havent noticed yet, or havent told me they noticed. (My father doesnt seem to care who I am but he seems to be quite oblivious to hints.) I speak in a much higher tone all the time. I'm 15 and my voice should be lower since i was born male. I keep my nails longer and when my mom asks about it i just say that "i like it that way" I mentioned it to my mom how I think I have a haircut idea that i would want and is generally a female haircut, and she replied "but that haircut is for girls" I also got a pair of thigh highs from one of my school friends who I came out to, and wore it next to my dad. He also asked me if he should put it in the washing machine, afterwards he complimented it saying it was cute (thanks dad :3) I also have long hair lol Idk what else to do really, I'm not afraid of coming out to my dad but coming out to my mom seems really scary because when I came out as bi a few years ago before I knew i was trans, she has a bit of a crisis and was a bit desheveled for a few days before she accepted that I was bi lol If anyone has suggestions to hints similar to this level of hinting im already doing, please let me know 😭

thankss - im a __ year old trans ftm trying to find ways to give hints and some really helped luckily i have a lgbtq mum (shes pan) and my dad is an ally, ive always felt closer to my mum though and i watch a show called heartstopper, theres also a book abt a trans mtf called melissa that ima reread!

My parents aren’t homophobic and I came out as bi to them and they were fine but I’m also trans and they don’t know it. My mom is more accepting even though she probably wouldn’t like me being trans my dad is really transphobic and I’m really worried about coming out to him

I have a plan So I’m in a car with my dad, and I’m gonna say, hey, we should play the scenarios game. And explain that like, if something happened to you, what would you do. And we would be in the game a couple of questions and then I ask, “let’s say you have a daughter, and they come out as transgender, and want to be referred to as your son, what would you do for your new son.” And if he asks why I will say it’s the best I could think of.

I’m scared of coming out to my parents what should I do (by the way I’m a male transgender 11 year old currently Also I’m not allowed to by clothes and my parents wouldn’t approve of me having lgbtq clothes or girl clothes aand I don’t think they would approve of me being transgender but they did approve of me being bisexual but I did find out I’m pansexual

as someone apart of the LGBTQ+ community i have came out to my parents and they're very supportive as i am pansexual and have a same sex partner who is also trans but not out. now i'm trying to come out as trans because i want them to know. they know i use the names Kai and Kallax as well as my deadname Kyra but they only use Kyra. i'm pretty sure they know my pronouns too but dont use them, so thats why i am willing to come out. this video kinda helped but not the much. anyways keep doing things like these :)
