I'd suggest if you have the means, visit a local flea market, if possible. I usually hit them up in the summer and find retro items and 8/10 have always gotten something for a fair price and functional, but thats just my opinion and not really a true solution to your situation. Hope you find one that's functional, homie. Sorry if this advice was shit.
@@_George24_ I have the version after..the top loader.. I did the same thing he did..nothing came on. If i went to tv channel 3 and it was all black and white snow on the tv..you know,lol... then when i pushed power button on the nintendo and then it went to just a grey screen, does that mean my nintendo actually works?, but well it's something else? Thanks in advance my good man
visionquest414 I would blow in to the bottom of the disc to get the dirt out and then put the disc thing back in and it should work it happened to me today
So, basically it worked on an older tv? Hmm.. when i went to channel 3, i got snow on the tv, but when i pushed ON the nintendo, it went to a grey screen, does that mean the nintendo works? and there's just some other reason it doesn't? Thanks in advance
I used the red and yellow on the console. The white is for the RF switch. I don't think the colors matter at all as long as they correspond on the TV. I just used trial and error. All TV'S are different. I guess in some cases the TV might not be compatible with the RCA plugs but you could just get the adapter. I think any modern TV will work.
My problems is that one RF cables look horrible and were used because alot of TV's sucked back then. And second is that you need the TV in 4.3 not as full screen.
I encountered something weird when I initially hooked up my original nes. When I turn it on all I see on the TV is a brown screen and nothing happens. If anyone has any suggestions it would be appreciated. BTW its av input that I hooked up.
Good night have a nintendo entertainment system power button was flashing when I got it today I clean game the power light stop flashing power button staying on now but I am not getting any signal from game to tv
im using a different version of nintendo it has the cartridge standing up on the console and im trying to put it on a new samsung tv a big one... the tv has the tv connection point and i even found the channel but all i get is static that goes from grey to white when i turn on the concole... how do i get around this issue ?
i know im late but, i only have a cord for the nes that has red and white like the guy in this video, do i plug the red in red and white in yellow? im so confused
How come I never see any old nes anywhere? The good old purple bars one saying start and one saying eject? It feels kinda weird seeing, suprizingly, no other old nes that came before this one.
I wish Nintendo would make a normal console with games that aren't about bright colors and extremely non-threatening themes, and let me play my old NES games on it. Because I had to jump ship at the Wii and I'd like to play my old favorite NES games on a reliable format and console.
Yes, RF, but you will get a worser quality. Composite cables are cheap tho, you can get them for just a few bucks, and you get a better quality and sound (not that good for today's standards)
