Here is some information and tips on flexibility and how I improve & maintain it all year round. Let me know if you enjoyed the video & would like to see more like this.
Great tips and advice dude. Good to see what you do and that i do something similar. I've only regularly been training gymnastics since September and i can see a difference. I'm focusing on my splits as a sign of progression so tips on improving would be appreciated. I now can get my calf on my foward leg to touch the floor, but still a long way to go. Also working on my Japana.
Awesome video dude! Would be great if you did videos for each muscle group... started Olympic weightlifting a few months back and have been struggling with flexibility/mobility issues! Keep up the hard up man.
Thanks for this video Nile fantastic and really informative could not agree more, that flexibility is truly underrated; Has I have commented on your previous video that increasing my range of movement really helped in overcoming lower back pain!
Love this vid. Very Helpful for me at the moment in Gymnastics. I hope you do the Separate Stretches videos. (Shoulders, Back, Legs etc,) and a press to handstand would be amazing!
Great vid. ☺️ I do trampolining and we are soon to be tested for strength and flexibility at competitions. Would love for a break down of each muscle group and progressions for the splits - mainly box
Amazing videos! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Would you do a tutorial on active flexibility for press handstands and conditioning skills for press handstands. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to your future videos!
I liked the weights attached to your body during the stretch. When I had my knee reconstruction, my leg was stuck in a bent position and I couldn't straighten it out but attaching weights to my foot and lying on my stomach was the only thing that allowed it to relax and improve.. I don't know why I haven't thought to do this in general.. lol so thanks for the reminder. I'm gonna get started on that today. I absolutely need to get my hamstrings more flexible, everything else is good but they're freaking terrible.
OMG this pictures of pure pain at 0:34 - 0:37!!! :'D i know that feel tough! Thanks for the advices! Do you usually stretch before or after your gym training? And also, do you think that everybody can have splits and that it's just a matter of training and assiduity?
Hi Nile you are awesome man.your videos made me build a will to become more athletic through working more my core and stretching.can you please write down a full routine of strechtes for us.keep it awesome man love you

What did you use to keep the weights/dumbells on your foot ? I want to try it but I cannot find something to hold the weight to do the middle splits strech on 4:33 . Please answer
Could you please give my 10 year old son some tips for stretching his hamstrings please? He finds flexibility difficult due to tight hamstrings and really wants to progress his pike folds and splits for his ndp's. Thanks

Hey, yes I am adding lots of new content to my website this weekend including flexibility programme that starts from very basic stretches! It would be great for you!
I was in cheer for about 4 years. I stopped cheering for about 2 years, and I've decided to stretch again to get back into sports. The day after I stretched, the under part of my knees starting hurting. It's not sore, it just hurts whenever I stretch them out in front of me. Anybody have any idea what this could be?
how many times should u stretch a week I know he said everyday but I can't physically do it everyday I did that for a year it really just hurt my legs all the time so I did like 3 to 2 days and I got flexible in 5 months and I could do the splits and all that but then I tore a lignment and I couldn't stretch for 6 months and now I do it twice a week but should I increase that now or no??? pls tell me
I would endeavour to try and stretch everyday if you can - it doesn't have to be intense, around 15 minutes. Definitely more than 2 times a week if you're wanting to improve your flexibility.
HI there, I'm trying so hard to increase my flexibility.... Im 26 years old.... How mane days -hours do I have to do flexibility exercises to get to some good point? Is it possible at all? :-/
Yes of course it is. I've read somewhere on a reddit post a 25 year old man trained for the splits everyday and he got it. He was totally good at the oversplits also.
i bet its worse for men/boys to learn the splits and middle split bc of there part... but i feel bad for them cuz they have to go to serious pain and girls dont go to that much pain at all lol ik cuz im in gymnastics
What Alan said is correct. Stretching the adductors or hip flexor/hamstrings for middle splits and splits doesn't cause pain to our man parts. It is generally harder for guys than girls because of genetics and behavior. Girls will spend more time as children doing ground activities and boys will do on their feet activities. Girls have wider hips that lend to doing the splits easier. Girls are shorter on average, so the muscles had to lengthen less. Girls have hormones that allow for better elasticity. Guys tend to have larger muscles and do strength based exercises and may not even try to develop flexibility. Women tend to do more yoga or use flexibility in their gym routine.
