the hack is good but more current is not always a best way to charge a battery. Lower current is good 😉😉

Sarebbe bello vedere più precisamente i collegamenti finali che hai fatto, ma l idea è geniale!

I showed you everything in detail but maybe I confused you because I showed the other side of the board but I didn't make any changes there. All the work is in the resistors🙂

thank you for this video. a question is it better to charge a battery with a low charging current. example 2.4A instead of 4.5A.
@ΣΤΑΥΡΟΣΓΚΕΡΛΕΣ
@ΣΤΑΥΡΟΣΓΚΕΡΛΕΣ 5 месяцев назад
It depends on the AH of the battery your are trying to charge. If you charge the 8ah battery,than obviously the 5,6 setting won't do any harm because it is below the ah of the battery. If however you try the 5,6 setting to a 2ah battery, you have a higher risk of ruining the battery in the long run. In general charging amperage should be half of the ah of the battery.

Basically yes. The slower the better. If you want the battery to be full again quickly, just charge it quickly.

I have a parkside double charger that one slot is not charging nor does it light up. I admire your work. Can you please advice as what should I check? Fuse seems OK by measuring it.
@ErCanEverything

Measure the voltage across the capacitor after the transformer. It should be around 21.6V. If there is no voltage in the capacitor, it may be the transistor in the primary coil of the transformer.

@ErCanEverything hello again. I've measured both sides the negative and positive and both show the same voltage of 4,6v(without battery connected). Once connected the working side pumps up to 20,4v but the other side doesn't. I assume there must be a problem with the third pin of the connector the ID,thermal pin.

So you could also alternatively cut one end of one of the resistors and put a switch and select 2a and 4.5a? Thanks for the video and the idea.
@ErCanEverything
@ErCanEverything 10 месяцев назад
Exactly, but if you decide to add a resistor you need to keep an eye on the temperatures and I don't recommend going above 5.5A
@juanrodriguez3165
@juanrodriguez3165 10 месяцев назад
@@ErCanEverything That's precisely why I said it, my intention is to leave it as it is, with the same resistors that it comes with, I just wanted to have the possibility of charging 2ah and 4ah batteries with just one switch, thank you very much friend for your answer.

this is a very high current for these Chinese battery,even 4.2A is a lot. 0:02
@juanrodriguez3165
@juanrodriguez3165 10 месяцев назад
@@kocetoMR The original charger already charges at 4.5ah for 4ah batteries, perhaps it is bad to charge lithium batteries at 1c but the factory charger already charges at 4.5ah for 4ah batteries, it would be good to put a switch and have the possibility of charging at 2ah for 2ah batteries.
@ΣΤΑΥΡΟΣΓΚΕΡΛΕΣ
@ΣΤΑΥΡΟΣΓΚΕΡΛΕΣ 10 месяцев назад
@juanrodriguez3165 you should do the same with the older charger that is just 2.4 amps. A switch that can boost it to 4.5

@ErCanEverything
@ErCanEverything 10 месяцев назад
Maybe, but 2.4A and 3.5A don't have a fan and will heat up a lot, they might even get damaged.
@zapanjormas4787
@zapanjormas4787 7 месяцев назад
@@ErCanEverything damaged like the 4.5A with your 5.6A mod. same thing with the battery, and the gain of charging time is very limited. Note also charging 8Ah battery on theses charger are not very recommended, as the charging time (and the time where the charger will heat) is doubled vs 4Ah.
