Thanks for always doing this Sensei. From world I always had, vault with 1 key. I always assigned it to R. In rise it is special sheath long sword that I assigned to R. Also, I did wirebug reticle (hold) assigned to ctrl. Those two are going to be always default for me. Now, I'm just trying to incorporate your other keys into it.
Amazing video, just started playing, and this video is done so well. i love how i can take pictures of the screen for each move, and it has everything i need to know on that one frame.
Some may disagree with me but, as a pc person who only really uses wirebugs to get onto hills and slopes, I think I would prefer to have the ability to use dive attack just like in world with maybe somewhat less dmg than a wirebug dive.
1:34 - I said "If your weapon is stored, CTRL actually PULLS OUT your weapon and sends your kinsect out to where your camera is looking". Which means your weapon isn't pulled out in your arms for CTRL to automatically send your kinsect. If your weapon is out, you have to click Left click while holding CTRL which I said right after.
I wonder which one easier while using insect glaive, with DS4 controller or with mouse+keyboard? I'm new with MH and this is my first time playing MH.. currently searching videos like this one that also includes the control settings. I didn't know MH has so many controls 😂
I have a very similar video with controller settings! It's pinned on my channel haha. Honestly I can't say which one is easier for you. Its different for everyone so I would try them both out :) I think ultimately it'll come down to whichever you're just more comfortable with. MH is originally designed for Controller but the PC settings have worked pretty well from what I've seen but I am also a mouse and keyboard gamer in general haha :)
hey awesome video but i have one question. I'm new to monster hunter btw. if i change the keybinds to what you reccomended in the video, what should i bind keys that overlaps such as "hunting installation - special ammo" which was previously binded on E or "Ammo/Coatings Bar - Scroll Up/Down"
Hey Sean! Honestly I would put it on anything that feels comfortable to you! Its not a hugely necessary button. I put special ammo on V. Mounted punisher on X :)

I believe its supposed to the Wirebug Reticle (Hold) button :) That's what I have on mine but this may not be default tbh - Mine's been customized for a long time now. Sorry I can't remember the default >
Aerial does make it a bit harder for you to dodge. A simple roll is much quicker to dodge compared to being in the helicoptor attack and having to bounce in a different direction. Additionally, dodging in the air most likely means you're not coming back unless the monster lands below you without hitting you. Most of the time, I go into the air when I am already out of the way of the monster and they are exhausted or charging an attack thats going to miss me because I'm already moving. The other time I'll go into the air is in a multi hunt with teammates, if the monster is focused on them, you know you always have a few seconds until the monster finishes their attack on your teammates before changing targets. Its definitely something that takes a bit of practice to know which attacks you have enough time to be in the air for and which attacks you don't. ofc if you knock the monster, 100% aerial dmg is great!
You should be able to change your keybinds in the settings --> Controls --> Keybinds. Is there something specific your keybinds aren't letting you change?
10:32 is me explaining the charge levels of jump advancing slash. If you rewind a bit, I showed that it's basically clicking right click 3 times in the air. Diving Wyvern is the exact same control as Recall Kinsect which I showed in the wirebug section. I show the controls at 13:10 I just used the diving Wyvern as an example in the jump advancing slash section to show an easy DMG comparison.
