Thank you so much. Simple and easy to follow.Wasted so much time trying to page my thesis. Successful ly completed it in less than 5 mins following your video instructions👍👍👍
What about if I don't want the Roman numerals for the cover part of my document to also start from (i) Let's say I want my Roman numerals to start from the Declaration page, with the cover page excluded...how do I go about that pls
Put the cursor at the declaration page and break the page again. Remember to click on the 'link to previous' to unlink the cover pages from having the roman numerals.
When I'm trying to that.. Just first page is showing the Roman number AS "I", after that it will be continued from 2,3,4....could u please help with this issue ?
after inserting the page break, you would have change the format of the page numbering from roman numbers( i, ii, iii) to 1,2, 3 but in your case, at the Format page numbers, click on "start at' and increase the numbering to 2.
I dont want to put Roman number into the start 2 pages of my thesis ...and i want to put roman ( i ) into my thesis's third page ...so how it can ? Plz tell in hurry
In case this, put the cursor at the beginning of the third page, then go to layout tab and break the page there. Next: go to insert the page number area and format page number roman numerals and also to start at : i Now at the footer section of the third page, click on 'link to previous section' to not connect the numbers to the previous page. Now insert the page page numbers.
Thank you so much for this video. I had watched a number of videos on this same subject, and yet it was still not working for me. Yours did the trick. You included simplified details that the others failed to add. Good job..
In that case, put the cursor at the beginning of the second page and break the page there. Don't forget to click on 'Link to previous' to unlink the numbering to the first page.
This was awesome!! I struggled with this for about 15 hrs and you explained it and I did it in 10 minutes! Keep up the amazing work! You're saving LIVES!!! 😅
On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Show/Hide ( ¶ ) to show all formatting marks including page breaks. Double-click the page break to select it, then press Delete. Click Show/Hide again to hide the remaining formatting marks in the document. hope this helps...
@@nawalhamda5301 Please if you want to number starting from a specific page, when you click on "format page numbers" these two things are very important, i.e "continue from previous section" and "start at". Use "start at" to define which number to start from!
