We’re making a video that should be out if not tomorrow then the next day and it’ll show you an alternative we came up with that’s comparable to those clips. We needed them also for the new video so searched absolutely everywhere and it seems you can only buy them in bulk
www.amazon.com/dp/B0000916GL?starsLeft=1&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_sms_apin_dp_VTJ9AZ0B2QCEF7YFJWK5 We were going to try this. We haven’t yet but we think they might work. What we used is picture hangers for the wall. No matter what route you go I’d suggest to epoxy them so they can’t fall off.
Perfect timing for making this video! I´m swapping my rear bumper aswell. But i have one question: Does your bumper also need some new wheel arch liners in the back? My oem liners are a bit too tiny. Or is it just some fitment issue caused by an non oem bumper? Keep on going perfecting the Z
This is an oem style from shine auto project since an oem Nissan Nismo V3 bumper is very hard to find, and expensive. One of the best replicas you can get for this style bumper. 👍
It is the same mold, not oem though. Considering how hard the oem rear bumper is to get your hands on, and how expensive they are if they do pop up, this is a great alternative.
The Nismo Muffler was the only part we have bolted on for the exauhst, the rest of the exhaust is stock. The only visual difference between the Nismo muffler and stock would be the difference in size for the exhaust tips so I would think the bumper would fit!
how did you get those clips under the taillight to connect to the bumper since you need to lock them for it to hold the bumper to the car? thats the only issue im running into because it keeps popping off
Yeah that’s definitely the hardest part about the dismount/installation, we never took ours off only turn them 90 degrees so the clip remains on the body. We have a section in the video that explains how they work but if you mean your bumper keeps popping off before you can turn the lock 90 degrees I’d suggest having one person apply pressure on the bumper to push it against the car while you try your best to turn it. Let me know if you need any other advice or if I answered your question!
This is all we could find and obviously these are wayyy too expensive. www.z1motorsports.com/rear-bumper/nissan/oem-350z-nismo-rear-bumper-mesh-retainer-p-22296.html They came included with the shine auto bumper. I’d recommend looking up “small peel and sticks hooks” and searching for a cheaper alternative.
You may be able to buy them from shine auto, separately from the bumper. You could try contacting them and asking if they will send you just the clips.
@@bh5697 holding up amazing! Have had no issues or cracking in it so far but the car is garage kept, the tabs that hold the mesh into place are also holding up great!
Great video ! Looks like a shine auto rear. Thank you for making this video on it. I struggled on installing mine bc there wasn’t any videos on someone installing it. Happy to say I did exactly what you did on mine, a couple of months ago. Will be sending this video to all the people I know who are receiving orders from shine. 🫶
